I heartily agree with the comments of Suzy25 on Tenko. It seems utterly incredible that the ending of the programme should be interrupted in such a way. I hope UKTV Drama takes this point on board and in future information on the next programme will be given out during the credits. Please!!

I love Tenko as well, but have a request, please could the man who tells you about the next programme on, please wait until the credits come on. In the last few days he has interrupted the dialogue at the end of the programme.

Thanks for filling in the gaps, I must have missed those bits.
I totally agree with you about series 3, I though it was just me, but it does seemed to be a rushed. It also seemed strange to introduce the new characters with no background and acted as though they were with the original characters from the beginning.

We find out what happened to Verna and Blanche at the start of the first episode to series three. The camera panns round the new camp on to some graves. Judging by a conversation between Bea and Kate, Blanche died of beri beri and not that long before. The date on her grave also says 1945.
I don't think Verna does die during the allied bombing. Maggie, who wasn't in that camp, talks about her, and I think the date on her grave is 1944 but I couldn't read it well.
The events of series 2 take place in 1943 and by series three they are of course in 1945. There is some dialogue made about how they have been in that camp for 2 years though, but that can't be right. series three opens with it being the 1st July. The allied bombing at the end of series 2 happens in September '43 I think, so that doesn't add up. The start of series 3 has alway felt a bit rushed- like the producers were keen to move the story on to post-war story lines

What I found strange though was there seems to be a huge gap between series 2 & 3 with no explanation of what happened in between moving camps. Maybe it's just me who thinks that. Maybe all will be explained in due course. Also perhaps the cat will turn in Tenko-The Reunion ha.

Thank you for that - I guessed they must have died somewhere along the line, either that or they got offered better tv parts in between series! I was waiting for the cat to be served up for food, strange why they wrote it into script at all......

Rose became paralised from a gun shot wound when she sneaked of the see Bernard then later died from it.
Verna and Miss Hassam died when the allys bombed the camp along with Shinya.
As for Blanche I'm not too sure myself, I don't think she's been mentioned yet, so I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
