What's with the black background? Where's nice, friendly UKTV?

Thanks Tarshire. I got my copy of the book yesterday. Sooo excited! It gives background to the locations of HW and the actors, albeit written 20 years ago.

Just got back from honeymoon and like Bamf have saved last few episodes of the last series to get through the post-holiday/honeymoon period.

Oh yes... the time is 10.45pm, the day is Wednesday and I am about to embark in watching the final series.
I'm almost reluctant as I know there will be no other after this last box set.
Sailorboy... have you watched an episode yet? I know what you mean about the cover!
I have a very vague memory that Lyn comes back and married Charles Frere at the end.

I'm managing to stretch the experience until Series 6 comes out as I always forget what happened in the last episode I watched (alcohol amnesia!) and have to watch it again the next week!

My Series 5 DVD landed on my doorstep this morning - woo hoo! Did everyone else's?

Out of interest do you share your passion for Howards' Way with friends/ partner etc or is it a closet thing?! I'm afraid I have to wait until my boyfriend goes to bed to watch my DVDs - he just doesn't get it!

I'm gutted I missed the programme on Cult Sunday. Any ideas where or how I can see it??

I'm afraid I am stuck in the 80's and noting has come close to Howard's Way since.

Anyone think that if they ever decided to reunite it 20 years on it would be good, or a disaster like This Life? Obviously some of the best characters/ actors are dead now i.e Charles Frere, Tom, Rolf etc.

We are in need of a fan club. We also need to attend conventions like Star Trek!

I visited Hampshire last summer and went to Burlesdon also.

I went to the pub, and saw the houses of Polly, Jack, Avril's first cottage, and the Howard's!

It took a while, but if I remember correctly you walk up the hill and its one of the last houses before you leave the village. I've tried to attach a photo but it won't let me! It looks virtualy the same although there is a hideous upstairs extension to the right of the front door.

It's great to be able to share my love of Howard's Way. I feel like a minority!

Can't wait for Series 5 to drop on my doorstep.
