hi all, i can't believe nobody has entered anything since October!!!
I've not been able to read any messages since September cause i didn't want to spoil watching the ending by reading messages that told us what happened.
Well that is it, no more Howards Way, i just finished watching the last episode of the last series. I have loved watching the series again and it has been great reading everyones messages and sharing everyones excitement with the release dates etc.
Surely if any old Howards Way producers are reading this they must realise by the extremely high amount of postings there are enough of us out there to warrant doing a one off show of Howards Way 25years later to show us what everyone is up to now
I appreciate alot of the cast members have sadly moved over to the other side but there are still enough left to pull a good show together. Abby and Leos children would be in thier 20's with children of thier own making Leo a grandad and Jan Howard a great grandmother!!!
Anyway lets keep this message board going as long as possible.

I'm struggling not to watch any episodes yet because once i watch the first one then i'm not going to be able to stop and all 13 episodes would have been devoured in a week!!
I really am going to pace myself and enjoy every episode, it does make it more fun the fact that i cannot remember what happened in this series so it will be like watching it for the first time
I want to get to the end to see how it finishes and they wrap it all up but i don't if you know what i mean.

Has everybody elses Series 6 arrived now?
It came dropping through my letterbox on Monday morning, i ripped open the packaging to see who was on the front cover for this series. Good ole Ken Masters he keeps coming back for more!! I was also upset to see the sticker on the front saying Final Series, it just reminded me that i've only got 13 more episodes to go before the end
I don't want to read inside the cover to find out what happens in each episode so it doesn't spoil it but i know the temptation is going to get to much!!

Checked out the website for Somerley House, when the web site popped up at a quick glance i thought it was Edward Frere on the main page!!. If i wasn't already married that would be a place for a wedding, very grand, (probably very expensive as well) i wonder if they would open it for the day for the Howards Way enthusiasts.
Been in and pre-ordered Series six only 16 days to go.

This is why i love this message board so much. It goes a few weeks without anything then suddenly somebody new joins in with some more information and then an influx of new postings in a couple of days. Thanks NetleyChris you've given us Howards Way fans more things to look at and enjoy.
Looking forward to the next instalments of coordinates.

Well, thats series 5 done and dusted. as soon as they mentioned that Tom Howard was overseas preparing to bring a J class back i guessed that was going to be the last time we were going to see this great actor. I cannot remeber what series 6 was like when it was originally aired 20 years ago but i'm guessing because of this great loss there was never going to be any series 7,8 and 9 etc.
I'm looking forward to seeing series 6 but knowing that will be it for Howards Way is very depressing.
I'll just have to wait and see what a whole series without the major character will be like....

Looking forward to it already, i'm trying to pace myself with watching series 5 trouble is when its on DVD you can just sit down one night and watch 3 episodes with a few drinks no problem!!.
Series 6 is going to be strange without the excellent Tom Howard.

I've only just managed to get my hands on series 5. All that anticipation of it coming and i was out when it arrived and the postman took it back to the sorting office and because of work i have been unable to get there until now.
Watched a couple of episodes last night. Lovin' Laura Wilde she's a fox.
Oh, and on the above comments on marriage, its done wonders for mine cause its the only time me and the wife sit in the same room and don't argue!!! we love it. I watch it for the boats and she watches it for the 80's fashion. Best of both worlds ;D

I'm gutted as well claire_flower. I missed it because i had no idea there was any such programme on telly.
It should be on one of the main channels then is would have been advertised more and we would have got to hear about it then.
On a much happier note only 4 days to go until the release of series 5. I'm watching series 4 again to build up the excitement. Can't wait

It would be brilliant to have a fan club, there would be a HUGE following if the amount of postings on this message board is anything to go by.
I hope there is some commentary on the series 5 DVD like there was on series 1 and 2, it would be good to know what these people are up to now and maybe some recent photos so we can see how much the people have changed. Only 16 days to go for series 5, surely i'm not the only one thats counting the days down.

Although being the very proud owner of series 1 to 4 and series 5 booked and paid for i would still sit down and watch the episodes if they were to run on the television. Love it, bring back the 80's.
Although series 5 has not yet landed on my door step i'm searching about to find a release date for series 6, panicking its going to be a long wait like it was between series 3 and 4.

Hi claire_flower,
Its good to be able to discuss a programme everyone enjoys.
When i get the time to go to Burlesdon i'll keep a look out for the Howards House as well.
How about the 'Leisurecruise' building. It looks to be on a main road of some kind, any ideas about this one.
Series 5 has been ordered from Woolworths can't wait for May!!!

Major Apple, many thanks, as we live a good 6 hours drive from Southhampton we would have to book a few days holiday down there and its really good to know where exactly to go as not to waste time. Much appreciated

I'm still trawling through the internet to see if anything comes up about any tours.
Perhaps in a couple of years time it is going to be the 25th anniversary of the first series of Howards Way perhaps they may sort something out from there, isn't the Elephant (mermaid) boatyard near to the Jolly Sailor? did you get to see that as well?.
Can't wait until release date for series 5, hopefully by the time its out i would have caught up with the rest of the previous series!!

Just checked out the link from the above posting, Barracuda of Tarrant still looks an excellent yacht, makes you want to sell the house and buy it for yourself. If only i had the money.....

Just finished watching series 1 on DVD and on the commentary by Jan Harvey she said there are Howards Way tours you can go on to visit the boatyard, homes, pub etc. Is this still going on? would be fasinating to go and see the locations for a bit of nostalgia. Does anybody know more about this??

Just finished watching series 1 on DVD and in the commentary by jan Harvey she said about a Howards Way tour you can go on, does anybody know if this is still running? and where did they use to go and visit?, i'm really intrigued whether its still going, it would be great nostalgia and also good for the people who never got to watch the original series on television.
