O.K. David. I'm thoroughly confused now. So the announcement isn't going to come before either of those films that evening after all, but instead on Tuesday, two days after the poll ends?

So David.......in other words, if the announcement doesn't come before "Pride and Prejudice", then it won't take a rocket scientist to figure out who won then! LOL!

Believe me. It's NOT a "Brit thing" as you said. Some of the women who have replied here, like myself, are American. Half the Sean boards I'm on are 50% American, so it's got nothing to do with being British. We're all just full blooded women who happen to know what drop dead, sexy is!

Sean's range of roles is much more diverse than Colin's. The man has played everything.....from a doting, devoted Dad to a psychopathic murderer. Hollywood blockbuster's....indy films....theater.....television series.....you name it, he's done it! He's taken each and every one of those roles and played them to the hilt. The man doesn't have to open his mouth to convey his thoughts in a role....he says it all with his eyes.

He's a "working actor". He doesn't sit on his duff waiting for the role of a lifetime or one that's going to be paying out only the big bucks. He's given up lucrative offers to play characters in small, low budget films because he believes in the roles.

He's also just a regular kind of bloke, who shys away from all of the Hollywood whoopla, and is content to just take in a pint at the local pub or watch his beloved Blades play. No fake facade here.

He's that wonderful combination of rugged and manly with a touch of bad boy, yet soft spoken and shy and quite the gentleman.

Just the best all around perfect package!!!!


By the way, David. Just thought I'd let you know that the pic you have posted on the Gallery of Sean holding that beautiful silver sword, is not from "Sharpe". It's a PR pic of him taken when he played Boromir in the "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring"!!!

To answer your question, yes there are several of us here from a Sean fan website, but we've haven't decided yet whether or not we want to reveal who we are. LOL!! We're trying to get a "rep" to send in the "why we want Sean to win" little story, so will get back to you shortly. In the meantime....bring on Thursday's voting!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Hi David! Another "Bean" fan here and online friend to Leggy! I hope this poll comes to fruition! Fabulous idea!!! My voting finger is all primed and ready to go!!!

Why are there comments being made that allude to cheating on the behalf of the Sean Bean voters??? As a fan, I find that insulting. Is it so inconceivable to you that maybe he just has a bigger fan base? Maybe, just maybe, people, (other than die-hard Bean fans), are also voting because they just like him better than the other choices? All the other actor's fans have the same opportunity that we Sean Bean fans have to increase their candidates percentage.

This poll is linked on several of the largest Sean fan websites on the internet. We were late in finding out about this poll, but once we did, word spread. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of members voting. The power of a strong fan base and our efforts is reflected in the vote tally, plain and simple.

Are we suppose to apologize for the fact that we are out there supporting him and that the numbers are reflecting this? Sorry you are all so perplexed but to resort to saying that the poll is broke, to me, is just displaying poor sportsmanship.

To answer the question as to why some of the actors are dropping in % points......it all boils down to statistics. The % have to add up to 100%!! For example....if Sean moves up one % point, it has to come off of someone else's that doesn't have as many votes cast for them. Someone can't go up and the others stay the same as they previously were!

I don't think there is anything wrong with the poll or the tally. It just boils down to this.....never underestimate the power of a Beanie fan!!! LOL!!!! It's simple.....word spread and lots of us are voting!!!! (and there ARE lots of us!!).
