Thanks for that. I've been part of this forum for 2/3 years; it's all getting a bit boring now. I'm a big fan of HW and would loved to have a seen a new series however most of them are dead now. It would never be the same.

I visted the Jolly Sailor in Burelesdon on the river Hamble a few weeks ago. I'm sure that the view of the pub from the boatyard in the series is always opposite, however it is actually alongside. It seems as if for viewing purposes they have messed around with the perspective. Opposite is just water and boats; unless anybody knows different.

Reviving Howards Wat would sadly not be possible, certainly not with most of the stars that made the show what it was.
Tom Howard, Jack Rolfe and Charles Frere all died in real life as did some of the other minor characters such as the Admiral and Jacks final partner; can't think of her name. Sir Edward Frere died in the series as part of the story line. Some of these are irreplaceable.

Howards Way is the best series ever, loved it the first time around and never miss it at tea time. Can't believe UK Drama have ealtered the viewing time to 4pm. Please, please please make it later, how can anybody watch it who is at work. This is just the worst decision ever. What about a repeat later in the evening.
