It's not easy for any series that comes back with a new cast, but for one with bona fide legendary status it's even more difficult. Luckily the Return of the Saint manages to keep everything that was great about the original and ensure that being saintly is one of TV's highest virtues all over again.
Ian Ogilvy stars as the legendary Simon Templar, a modern-day Robin Hood who steals from rich criminals in a bid to smash organised crime and keep the loot for himself. Dashing, suave, charming and always keeping one step ahead of the relentless police Inspector Claude Eustace Teal, Templar is the archetypal international playboy who will stop at nothing to get his kicks.
