Continuing on Alibi this month is The Last Detective, the series based on Leslie Thomas' best-selling novels featuring gentle, old-fashioned north London detective Dangerous Davies.
Dangerous Davies (Peter Davison) is well known in the force as a meek and mild Detective Constable, and is constantly trying to prove that underdogs do have their day. Thanks to old-fashioned detective work and his quiet, unheralded people skills, Dangerous is often able to do so.
Series four features investigations into the death of a man who had been living a hermit-like existence, a veteran comedian who drops dead live on stage, a chauffeur who's found stabbed in the neck with a broken champagne bottle and the death of a businessman who may be the victim of an insurance scam.
