Amazing, no email reply, no response - NOTHING!

It's like dealing with Telewest, if its about your bill well deal with it straight away!

i am so sick of programs having bits removed from them i love top gear but when i watch it on UKG2 there are nearly always bits removed i never could understand this as the bits werent even offensive or rude

I would really love to see Jeremy clarkson's chat show on UKTV people or UKTV documentary again, i just loved it, he was so funny on it! Especially when he did those mad experiments like makin a potato bazuka or firing a turkey out of his bin lol. Who agrees with me that it should be shown again, it would really liven the channels up again!!

It was called 'clarkson' and it ran from 1998 or 99 to 2000 i think. It was on every sunday night and they showed repeats on the UK horizons channel, when that channel was there.

I am SICK of watching repeats of Doctor Who Series 1 and 2! I mean they are on everyday!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE return classic Who episodes to UKTV on Saturday and Sundays. I loved getting up to watch them!

i think dave should have shooting stars on it because that show was legendary and its full of witty banter so its reet for the channel. go on dave you know it makes sense

For what its worth, I would like to protest at the "CLOSURE" of UK TV History. IE no programming on freeview in the evenings. This is the only time I personally can watch Television, I used to enjoy being able to watch UK TV History, when there was nothing much on anywhere else. I have read and contributed to the message boards, so there is no need to quote any corporate speak about how much we are "Valued" as viewers because we are clearly not! I need to be reassured that you will take all comments on board when you next have a programming meeting and actually discuss when, not if, UK TV History will return to our evening freeview screens.

Come on own up. What bright spark had the brilliant idea of rendering UKTV defunked to virtually the whole of the working populace?
Not only that but most school children as well.
How could you stop screening one of the most educational, interesting, informative and historcally diverse channels at the ludicrous time of 6pm?
Come on guys, admit you made a boo boo and restore the channel to it's usual time (I genuinely miss it and am getting withdrawall symptons).
Surely you get your revenue from adverisements, So what then is the point in a channel aimed at the unemployed and pensioners? They have no money to spend
Why dont you cut back one of your more inane channels, starting with Dave (repeats of a question of sport and who's line is it any way (and just when I thought we had been delivered from Clive Anderson and it was safe to turn on my T.V. agian) the latter being absolute roadcrash tv when it was originally aired)
Please please please see sense and give us back UKTV History or I will have to become unemployed myself

I do not agree with the OTT comment, about UK History. A lot of us older/retired people, have money. He/She must have a narrow circle of friends, 6 p.m. is not that early. I like AQOS, but do not like nearly everything related to Top Gear,with its all white chauvanists. The token woman usually being a bimbo. I find the subsctitution of UKG2 to 'Dave,' puzzling. When is Dave, the taking of whose name is presumptious, in a programme?

UK History could also have a more varied programme. However well the programmes are presented,nearly everything seems related to war, particularly 'German Knocking.'

I'm so upset that UKTV History has decided to pull its programs from free view after 6pm. This will go down in history as being one of the greatest disrespects a major TV channel has shown their loyal audience.

Les 2, why is it not possible to run UKTV History in the evenings or is there a plan to make us pay for more so instead of freeview it will turn into screwview, what is the real problem with carrying the programme on after 6pm, some comment from the guys that hold the high ground would be nice, so please could you reinstate UKTV History, if and when its restored we can then have a say about the content of the programme

BUT I also like how Dave has moved to freeview; of the two options (as I imagine the channel space / bandwidth has gone to Dave) I believe it is better to continue to have Dave. Its not that I prefer Dave to UKTV History - but History programmes are repeated through the day on a reliable basis where Dave's programming varies. The vast percentage of people do have either video, DVD or hard disk recorders - so record it earlier - it will have been on. This is not the case for Dave.

Honestly posters above - which of you do not have a recorder so you can watch UKTV History in the evening? Interested to hear replies.

Thank you for your comment sutekh42, if everyone in the country has you say can record then lets turn it around and you can record Dave when that goes off at 6pm in the evening, you say you mourn the History programme you dont work for them do you! it may not be a case for Dave, but lets make it a case for History, read the list above again we all can not be wrong.

Sorry - Maybe I was not clear; the programming for Dave DOES alter in the evening so of the two, UKTV history is the obvious one NOT to show in the evening surely? I don't work for either channel thank you. I'm not sure I follow your argument for "we can't all be wrong" - well obviously people don't complain / comment as much when they like the status quo. And if numbers ARE the argument, which channel had the highest viewing figures. I don't know. I prefer to leave the numbers out of the argument...

In the article 'Is Robin Hood real?' you list 10 fictional people the public think really existed. Two of them *did* exist. Dick Turpin was born in Essex in 1706 and executed at York in 1739. Lady Godiva was the wife of Leofric, Earl of Mercia. She is mentioned in the Doomsday Book as holding land, and is the only female landholder named. Dick Turpin's ride from London to York in a day is fiction, as is Lady Godiva's naked ride through Coventry. The people are real.

Although there was never a woman called 'Mona Lisa', the painting is thought to be a portrait of a real woman. The woman is believed to be Lisa Gherardini, wife of a Florentine merchant. She was also known as Lisa del Giocondo, or La Gioconda. So it could be argued that Mona Lisa really existed, too.

Finally, there's a typo on that page. You list 'Charles Dickins' as somebody people thing is fiction. It should be Charles Dickens.

Apologies for the double post. I didn't realise the comments were listed most recent first. I suppose I should have checked the date markings more closely.

Regarding the question of who's got the UKTV History evening bandwidth, it's unlikely to be Dave. Dave is on from 7am, UKTV History goes off at 6pm. It's more likely that Virgin 1 has got the bandwidth, as it only starts at 7pm. During the week I prefer Virgin 1, as it allows me to catch up on episodes of Deep Space Nine that I missed the first time round.

Columbo - Fade In To Murder - Sat 15th 10am

I have just watched the above program and am livid at the bloody idiot that gave a voice over introducing the next program during the last 90 seconds of Columbo when the murderer confesses!!!!!!

What the hell is wrong with the guy, I can only imagine he thought this would be really funny and had a laugh with his colleagues over it.
