I would like to be considered for Ground Force to makeover our Garden as a surprise for my husband Roy. We live in Germany, near Dusseldorf, and a year ago purchased a House after living in a rented flat for the past 12 years. We love our house & garden but we have had to do a lot of work to it & the garden needs a major overhaul. Roy knows what he wants but unfortunately we both work full time & he struggles with time. His Father passed away recently & it has hit him very hard as we are a very close family. Please, please can you consider my request as he is a very special & devoted husband & I love him dearly. Yours hopefully, Julie Kemp Hug Hug Hug

HELP!!!! We are in serious need of a make over on our garden Big Grin It's a mess!! We have spent a lot of time on the house but the garden just doen't look good. It runs by the side of the house and through to the back, and my husband last year dug up the grass at the back ... and then it has been left over the winter. We just don't know what to do and need inspiration. We have a 5 year old who would love an area to himself and we want 'adult' space. There is a tree over hanging too...
I hope you can help us, it's our disaster zone!!!!

Smile HELP !! My garden is in serious need of some insperation and renovation its just so boring yawn, yawn!!!
I love pottering about in the green house and have got loads of seeds planted up ready for the summer. Unfortunatly my husbandis an engineer and works very hard doing manual work even though he is diabetic and suffers with angina so he is always whacked by the time he gets home, I am a student nurse and work long ( 12 hour shifts) hours and then have studying to do. I would love to have a patio area for my husband to sit out on in the summer evenings ,where we could recharge our batteries. It would be fantastic if you could help us.( Maybe one of your gardening shows would like to have a go)
Sally Welcome. Smile

Angry May i suggest UKTV set up partition of the CUSTOMERS of ntl to remind them that without the people who unfortunatly use their comunication systems they're nothing and out of business.
I know several people who would like to receive UKTV Gardens.
Heres hoping, Regards Nobby Develish

Hello,
I have a beautiful Laburnum Vossii that is twenty years old and in excellent health. In the last few years, however, it has become almost completely biennial in its flowering pattern - absolutely dripping with blossom in 2002, hardly any flowers in 2003, fine last year and only a dozen or so flowering trusses this year. Does anyone know why this might be? I see from an earlier post that perhaps it is not a very long-lived tree, so could it be coming to the end of its life? It is so lovely in alternate years, I am very reluctant to cut it down!
Any help much appreciated.

Hi, I am new to this forum and this is my first posting. Hi fellow gardeners/garden-lovers!! I see some people are enquiring about being chosen for a garden makeover on one of the programmes - how are these makeovers chosen? I would also be interested in a makeover for my garden - I live in Northern Ireland and honestly haven't seen too many gardens done from here!! Isn't this website very informative - I love it!!! Confused Smile

Dear UK TV Style,
My husband & I have lived in our house for 2 years, and are still renovating it, although now coming to an end. The garden is a mess/building site. How can we arrange for a garden makeover? We have ideas aplenty - v.little time.

Hi
I'm hoping you will be able to come to my rescue. Last year we started a self build house project, unfortunatley six months into the build my husband suffered 2 heart attacks and was air lifted to hospital for emergency surgery, and has been off work since.
The house is comming along slowly, however the garden is causing him alot of stress, we have not done anything to it other than keep it cut. The garden is huge and I want to keep it easy to manage, as I work full time.
My dream is for one of your teams to give it the works, and see the joy it would bring to my husband. I know it would be a real boost to his recovery, to be able to sit in a tranquil garden. Hoping you can help as I don't feel able to tackle the project on my own.

Big Grin Will someone please tell me how a couple of jokers manage to get on TV with little or no horticultural training? I refer of course to Simon Harrison-Knibbs and the sidekick Durant. What a right pair of plonkers! I would no more trust them to look after a goldfish, let alone a garden. It makes me weep to watch GARDENS UNPLUGGED so I tend to steer clear of it now for fear of raising my blood pressure. Whoever decided to give them air time needs to be fed paraquat - intraveinously! When we bought our house, my fiance and I inherited a horrible 'splashpool' at the end of our garden. Peeling paint, no filtration, we started to demolish it, but discovered re-inforced steel struts! Needless to say, the job has stayed half finished for 3 yrs! We have a 1yr old baby and would love to be able to use the garden this summer. To achieve this we desperately need some professional help! Pls get in touch and help us realise our dream.
