Is it just me, or does anyone else find that continuity announcements that cut in over the dialogue 5 minutes before the end of a film or programme to "inform" me of the next programme really annoying?

Watching 'Con Air' last night - A film in my personal list of top 50 - I was horrified when he chose to do it right at the point when Nicholas Cage met his daughter for the first time. This seems to be happening more and more frequently. Angry

thats been spoiling our enjoyment for a while, lomelec. we hate it happening when the detective is going to tell someone whodunnit and the announcer chimes in over the top.then it is followed by nearly 5 minutes of trailers and adverts when the continuity man could have done his stuff!!.

I agree - someone must do smoething to stop these silly announcements 5-10 mins before the end of the show - its not only annoying - it spoils the whole programme and its not needed Mad Blurgh

Well, they're STILL doing it, having recently ruined the last ever episode of Blackadder (see UKTV Gold forum).
