Dito, with the first. UKTV, do not seem to know their own E Mail Address. Why then ask for our comments?

I told them, inter alia, about the poor quality, on New Years Day, during Carry On Follow That Camel.

The reception was abyssmal, at times, and the sound disappeared, more than once. These problems, have increased more recently. I need tochange channels, then go back to the original one, in order to recover the service, as before.

There is never the courtesy of an explanation, during, or after. Oddly enough, other Subscription Channels, have far fewer problems. Perhaps the encryption, or signal strength need reviewing.

I am not impressed with certain UKTV Staff either, when telephoning. Embarrassed

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your messages about our service quality - since before Christmas we've had everyone in our transmission chain involved in a very lengthy exercise to try and identify where the issue is. We have also been viewing and monitoring all the channels and have identified that these problems seem to depend on how you are watching our channels - it seems to be related to the equipment you're using rather than a transponder problem (although we are aware it is only affecting one of our two transponders).
Happily, it seems that most viewers are not being significantly affected by this issue BUT we know that those who are affected are badly affected - this issue is now our top priority in engineering and we are working as hard as we can to resolve it as soon as possible.
Thanks again for keeping us informed - hopefully this issue won't carry on for much longer.
All the team at UKTV

Thank you Jane for your courtesy. The ITV Subscription Channels, e.g. give me very little trouble, after a new Digibox was fitted.

I would have appreciated also, an explanation, as to why the Info E Mail Address, is wrong. E Mails to -: info@uktv.co.uk, just get rejected. Embarrassed

Hi there,
The email address problem is incredibly frustrating. The email address info@uktv.co.uk has been broken for a week or so - related to some changes to the BBC server that we were unaware of - and is being resolved urgently. We aim to have this email functional again by the end of today. Unfortunately we didn't know this problem was going to occur so couldn't publish a different email address on our site to redirect users to.
All very annoying! But should be resolved soon.
The UKTV team.

I too have the same problems with the audio, I use a Panasonic Sky box and the problems I get are mostly on UKTV Drama. This is where the sound goes off but I also get a short (2secs) picture freeze and then the sound is out of sync with the picture for about a minute. The loss of sound problem is most annoying when I have to video a programme only to find no sound after 15 mins, it might return of its own accord later in the programme.
It never seems to happen during the adverts!!, I also get the sync problem and load clicks on the sound of G2 and Gold but I have only noticed loss of sound on Drama

I get the problems, on all the UKTV Channels, that I watch. I find it frustrating too, when picture, and sound, are out of sync. It seems to affect A Question Of Sport, the most. I have also noticed, 10-15 minute sound losses, on video playbacks. I tend to fast forward, through the commercials. Confused

Is it my imagination or have the problems disappeared over the past couple of days, I haven't noticed a picture freeze or loss of sound on 'Drama' since about thursday

Now, that the problems appear to be mostly over. It would be good to have something original.

Every time I turn on, it seems to be endless LOTSW, or MSW, a la Casualty, Holby City, or The Antiques Roadshow. With allies like those in Secret Army, who needed The Enemy? Embarrassed
