Hi Dave, can you tell me where I can get a valuation for a pair of birds...they look like silver and I think they are quails, they are very heavy and have a lot of detail on them....

Can you tell me where I can get a valuation for two paintings we own by L'Pool slate artist Brian Gordon. All his paintings have been depicted on slate taken from the demolished roofs of the Liverpool factories and houses he knew as a child. Using his engraving techniques with hammer and engraving chisels, the images were first engraved in the slate and then painted in oils. The use of slate was very important to him as he felt that the slate had also played a part in the scene portrayed on it.

my husband bought me a painting a few years ago named "September Sunset"
by an artist by the name of John Taylor.he was a local artist who painted and exhibited in wales (I believe the Airport hotel)sadly he died I believe in the 60's,My husband was told that this painting that I have was the last one his wife owned and was sadly selling it,I believe she was going into an OAP's home.
I am trying so hard to find out a bit more about John Taylor and this painting.but hitting my head off a brick wall,can you advise in anyway thank you (by the way I believe you wife knew my sister in law Doloros Davies,true or not only Lorne could tell me lol))
