Who is Paul Martin?

Hello all! I wish somebody would tell Paul Martin to have a look at this site and the bbc message board ! He needs to know just how gorgeous he is - in every way! I think part of his appeal is that he's so unselfconscious - he dresses to please himself and doesn't mind looking a bit silly sometimes (like when he was in that tiny car ) I much prefer his sort than the kind that are constantly preening and checking in the mirror! He is effortlessly sexy and lovable Very like my husband, I hasten to add!!

Where's my message ? I can't post it again in case I look a fool

How frustrating is this?! I'm going to have to go back to the BBC antiques message board - even if I do get abuse there It must be obvious by now that we need a Paul Martin website so that we can all express our appreciation in peace - without fear of persecution

Hi blondee! It's nice to see another Lorna. There was a Lorna on today's Flog It, when they were in Aberdeen. I've noticed loads of people from Scotland are called Lorna. Anyway, I just thought I'd drop by to tell you lot that I've set up a website about our Paul. There isn't anything on there at the moment but over the next week I'll be adding some more stuff. Why isn't my message coming up on the screen?

I too am a huge fan of Paul's, apart from him being a good looking guy, he has a great personality, and I agree with what some of you have said - he would die of fright if he got pounced on by any of his fans! I've noticed that although he's quite tactile with the (older) guests, he doesn't encourage them to be tactile back!
I like the fact that he comes across as a nice, ordinary guy. I'm a bit suprised that at 41, there's no mention of a wife, but he has spoken of his girl friend on a couple of accasions - boo! Mind you, glad he's not Gay ;-)
Flog it came to a town very close to me recently, but I made the decision not to go, incase Paul in real life, turned out to be totally different to his TV image - and I'd rather hold on to my illusions lol!
If you search for Paul under 'Presenters' on the Home Page, you will find out quite a lot about him.
Also, if you go to his website paulmartin antiques - there's a scrummy pic of him showing off those manly hairy arms - I have it on my desktop - lovely to have him greet me everytime I switch on the pooter.
The only thing that bothers me a little - is why on earth did he call his big, butch looking alsation 'Bluebell'

Oh - and to 'Darius fan' - I'd say no contest - Paul wins hands down

Left responses on this thread yesterday which appeared on the home page - but still haven't appeared on here - how weird is that?
Wanted to tell those who haven't discovered it yet, that on the home page there's a section on Presenters - click on Paul Martin and you will be able to find out some very interesting things about him - Paul - a rock drummer????

The pic of our Paul on the paulmartin antiques site is certainly very dishy - I found it some time ago but didn't realise that you could click on it to get a larger version! However it appears to be back to front on the web site because he wears his watch on his left arm. Try doing a 'horizontal flip' in Paint or a photo editing programme and you will see what I mean.

DaisyDee- I used to feel the same about meeting people you admired. How awful would it be if your idol turned out to be areal idiot? However, I can assure you that Paul is as lovely and charming in real life as he is on Flog It. He has time for everyone at Valuation Days, stopping to chat and sign photos, and even posing for photos. I agree he does seem more at ease with the more 'mature' woman and definitely shies away from physical contact! And as for that gorgeous pic of him with his hairy arms on view- PHWOAR!!

Phew - glad this thread is up and running again - I thought it must be me lol! Perhaps we are overloading it - as I've not found problems with other threads I watch Flogit everyday and now I find myself thinking about you lot & wondering if you are watching (and drooling) too. Glad to hear about the fansite - will visit soon.

DaisyDee! Nice to know your thinking of me and the others watching Flog it and drooling! I too will now always think of my fellow droolers - it adds a whole new dimension! I was so disappointed to find that today's episode, which I recorded, was presented by Kate Alcock - no harm to her but she just doesn't do it for me! I'd like to know why there are never articles in telly books about Paul Martin or Flog It - I notice that this week's Radio Times has a picture of Alan Titchmarsh on the front and a big article about his new series. As much as I like Alan, he is just not as sexy as Paul Martin is he? David Dickinson seems to be everywhere I look too - why is this? I want to see Paul

I was very annoyed too! I hadn't seen FI since Thursday- due to my Darius duties- and was all set for a good bit of drooling when Kate came on. I want to see Paul, too. Preferably in the Cosmo centrefolds!!

I do enjoy Flogit, but Paul gives it a whole new dimension lol! Luckily I had yesterday's recording that I hadn't finished watching, so that made up for not seeing him today. Alan T is a nice feller - but sexy euwww! It would be great to have a nice pic of Paul on the front of any mag - with an article inside - so keep your eyes peeled girls and pass the word if you see anything anywhere ok? Yeah, I know we're sad - but why should the men have it all there own way - we women are striking back and having our own eye candy (actually, I hate that phrase lol!)
And here's a project for you - if you meet Paul at any of the Flogit venues - get a pic to be posted on his fansite OK?

Did anyone else see on the BBC Antiques message board that someone found the details of Paul's shop which is up for sale? Pictures of the inside and everything? I know it's a bit naughty (not to mention very sad ) but does anyone know how to find it? You see, if there were magazines around to feed this need for info we wouldn't have to be so scheming !

The information about Paul's shop can be found quite easily by doing a bit of detective work in Google. The biog of him on this site gives the name of the shop - from this, you can find the address, then if you type the address into Google (surrounded by quotation marks so that you search it as a phrase), you should be able to find it. Good luck!

Thanks DaisyDee! Also, thanks for the heads up on the photo on paulmartinantiques. I never even knew that site existed! It has the address of his shop on there too- and an email address for Paul! Not sure if it goes direct to him though, but I imagine so. Hey, about the pic- Paul looks quite, erm, Greek in it. Sooooo sexy! Does anyone know if he has Greek lineage or something? Wasn't he born in Cornwall? Lovin' the forearms though!!

Have any of you looked at the excellent David Barby fansite run by Jenny Youldon? There are lots of photos of FI valuation days and our hero appears in several of them. The page also gives a link to a Yahoo group called BHFI and if you join this, you can look at photos taken by other people who have been to valuation days. You should be able to find Jenny's site quite easily by typing David Barby Web Site into Google.

I'm catching up on all your posts, and all i can say is that u are all very bad girls for keeping me up so late thinking thoughts of Paul when i have to be up at 6 o'clock

I admire your observational skills Flogitfan- " It appears to be back to front on the website because he wears his watch on his left arm". My husband and i recently had a conversation regarding why Paul wears his watch loosely.
I put it that it was because the wristband may catch the hairs on his (gorgeous) arms, but my husband pointed out that the hairs catch even more when a watch is worn in this manner. Its amazing the thinks u think about sometimes, especially when it concerns a lovely pair of forearms!

Floellaebony- droolers, that sums us all up perfectly, it does kind of give u a warm glow inside to think of fellow droolers

I havn't had time today to watch Flog It! and i'm quite disapointed to hear that Katie Alcock was todays presenter. Not that i've got anything against the girl either, but its just not the same is it!!! We all must have done it, rushed home from the supermarket, picking the kids up from school, work etc, and put the tv on to see our gorgeous Paul, and low and behold- its Kate Alcock!

I would just like to add that Paul looked exceptionally nice yesterday (Monday) in his white shirt, yummy yummy yummy

Floellaebony- i did know about his shop, address, that it was up for sale (still?), but try as i might i cannot find anything to do with the estate agent who is dealing with it etc. Perhaps we should all arrange to view the premises as a group party, i expect the bedroom would be particularly interesting....ahhmm....sorry.
