I would like to buy a hanging chair, one of the ones that looks like a big plastic bubble that hangs on a chain from the roof. Any ideas where i could get one?

Looks as though they went out of UK production when hanging was banned!
Plenty in US and India I see but, other than that, I can see your problem.

The so called "Bubble Chair" was designed by Finnish furniture designer Eero Aarnio in 1968 and has become a design classic. Aarnio originally called the design Bing Bong (!!) but it was renamed by the importer to brought it to the USA.

Now for the bad news… retro furniture is incredibly fashionable at the moment and all that design cred don't come cheap! But if you're still interested, the Ambient Direct website have them for sale: [link] Keeping an eye on Ebay might be a good idea…

hello, the magazine 'Living Etc' (on the shelf now) has a clear bubble chair by 'Tom Tom'.......but it's over £2000!!!!! they also feature the Ikea hanging chair, its not a bubble but it does hang!! its in wicker and found in garden section. hope this helps! Riah
