Hi TiffanyCharles
The message boarders on UK Style are a group of people giving friendly and well intentioned advice. I note that you have come up with some useful advice of your own and that's good.
Although, I have only been a contributor for a short time (only 399 comments), I have got to know a number of the other contributors. This and other threads help to keep in touch in some small way.
I would not wish to lose this means of communication.
Cheers
Les

Hi Les
Is your daughter back from Germany yet? I bet she will enjoy having her home comforts again.
Hope you got your central heating sorted out?

Hi JacquiD,
All bars and nightclubs are shutting this weekend. My daughter is back in town!
Central Heating being fitted commencing 17th May...don't ask!
Mother-inLaw has at last been put into a Hospital Mental Health ward in Essex (last Friday). We understand that the preliminaries indicate she won't return to her flat to be on her own again. Thank goodness they have at last seen sense.
I've got a new kitchen but it's a Homebase photo as a screen saver on my computer only. I've done an extra line on the lottery this week.
Cheers

Glad central heating is getting done. Are you having new radiators? Sorry shouldnt ask!
Am in same situation with my promised new kitchen. I will believe it when it happens Roll Eyes
My screen saver is a picture of the sea lapping onto a beach in the South of France - at least I can dream Cool

Hi all and especially Steph,

Its good to see you back... cant have you loosing position now can we. I think that the reason you are still in the top ten is the length of time the system takes to register your postings and the fact it also seems to still loose them...

I will try to give you a ring over the Easter break to arrange to meet up again... Smile

Ernie,

I am so pleased that your Mum(in-Law?) is sorted, so to speak - but that means you now have to do the dreaded visits.

Well here is wishing everyone a lovely Easter... may the bunnies visit with lots of eggs and for Ernie a win on the Lottery to pay for his new kitchen. LOL XXX Smile

Hi,
I am sorry but I have lost the plot a bit with regard to bank holidays. Is this week's for Whit or is that something no longer associated with the end of May Bank Holiday?
Angie, I note your comment ,below, about me winning the lottery to pay for the kitchen. This weekend seems as good a time as any for me to do so?
For those who can, please have a lovely long weekend.
Best Wishes
Les

Hi Les,

Well did you?... I knew it was a double rollover but missed the adverts for a tripple rollover... funny how 6 people won - I am sure that it must be fixed. You cannot check that many tickets in that short a time - sorry but no computer is that good. I expect it was syndicates winning...

We had one here but gave up after a couple of years of not winning more than £ 10.00 between 12 of us...

Well must get off home - have a new bed arriving tomorrow night and I must finish off tidying up the room and hoovering etc.

Angie Smile

Hi Angie,
No, I didn't win but I haven't given up just yet.
I happen to trust the Lottery and its computing system. However, I trusted the guy in the Army before I found it was him who stole all my leave pay. Maybe I am just too naive?
Cheers
