Ian I know it seems like we are all moaning but the colour is blinding and uninviting I just want to come back as me and I am sure that we will get used to it eventually

I have to say there seems to be a lot more information on the new look website. I'm looking forward to some good competitions this year. A complete garden makeover curtesy of Gardens Unplugged would be an excellent prize!!

I agree that the colour is screeming but its unlikely anything will be done about it as no one at UKStyle appears to be answering any critism's, however helpful, about the new boards.

Can't we have a nice safe cream background or a soothing lilac?...

Lilac sounds great!! Do the hosts monitor the message boards all the time or do they just look in occasionally?

At the moment it does not look like they look in at all!!! :( as I and lots of others have put numerous moans on the site about its failings and as far as I am aware none have had a reply.

Oh for the good old days :(

We are here (of course)! And we're reading every message - which we have to do for legal reasons, but also because we're keen to hear what you're saying, good or bad!
Anyhow - if anyone is still having problems finding their way around the new Message Boards, please take a look at the list of Frequently Asked Questions we've now written, which includes the shortcuts for lots of new smilies. Just click on Message Boards (on the left-hand side of every page in Chat) and you'll find a link to Community FAQ next to the Message Board welcome text at the top.
Plus please keep your comments coming - the Message Boards you see now are just the beginning of the relaunch project. They're based on the very successful www.ukfood.tv Message Boards (which have been far more popular than our UK Style Message Boards in recent months). But, like the team at UK Food, we're always looking for improvements and welcome your thoughts.

Seems the main problem at the moment is messages just disappearing....

i think the main problem is having to read the post 'back to front' ......... doesn't seem to make sense having to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the original post and then work your way back up to the top to read the replies.
I have been avoiding the message boards because they now seem so daft........but Steph made me promise to post something (anything Wink )

This really irritated me - reading the post back to front but when you log in for some reason it seems to correct it. Have a go and see - or is it me going mad?

I think the reason the boards went very quiet was that there was nothing interesting on them. I posted lots of messages to raise interest but without much success. I also used to check each board to see if everyone had got a reply, because I do things like that, as I didn't like to think that someone was out there waiting for a responce only to hear nothing.
