It's Saturday 15th of December and I have nothing to do? WELL, I suppose there is plenty to do, but normally what I mean is that I am usually on 15th rushing around like a maniac getting last presents etc. So this afternoon I am going to relax and get the pressies out and wrap them ready for Christmas - yippee - hope you're all having a nice Saturday on the saturday before the last saturday before Christmas.

you must have a lot of time... all those saturdays in your posting!! lol!!! anyway, ive done my cards (dont know many people!!) and wrapped me prezzies, (most done in november!!!) now all i gotta do is pop into town at some point, and get some more stuff for emma, and for me too, coz if i leave it to kevin, ill get something totally weird!!! so, hows that? all organised and everything, now if i can just get emma to go to bed on time, i can have a nice soak in the bath!!!not much chance of that tho, she has a knack of staying awake till one midnight!! (she's only 2, so who knows what she'll be like when she is a teenager!!!)

anything like my teenager and she won't sleep, my son who is now 15 tries hard to stay up until 2 am nearly every night, I'm past arguing with him about going to bed these days and just let him get on with it - hopefully your emma will be better.

Best Wishes for Christmas and new year.

Well, I am now well behind in preparations. I had the 13th and 16th off and had great plans of cleaning the house from top to bottom, sorting the living room out - rearranging the furniture, putting up the decorations, writing the cards and wrapping the papers...

Spread over 4 days it should have been a breeze, but as they say the best laid plans of mice and men - well that certainly came true... on Wednesday I woke up with a sore throat, but Thursday I was feeling rotten but still managed to work a full day but by Friday I was done in and laid low with a cold, although I am not normally. :(

But I had a prize Whist scheduled for that evening which I couldn't get out of, so I struggled on gainfully and thought well whilst I am out I might as well shop - so I did - and spent some money.

Then Saturday I did get a lie in until about 11.00 but felt I was wasting the day - so got up - still feeling awful but kept going - wrote some cards and got them off... wrapped some pressies then had to go out to a candle party which again I couldn't back out of - spent some more money.

Sunday, I had organised meeting a friend at her boyfriends in Peterborough - so I took her Christmas pressies (which I had wrapped the night before) up to her had lunch then turned around and came back.

I though now Monday - I will be feeling better I can crack on - but no - if anything I felt worse, but there was to be no peace as the electricity man called to read the metre, the phone kept ringing so I gave up got up and dressed and went out - yes you've guessed - shopping...

Now, I did get most of the wrapping and cards finished last night and today I must say that I am feeling more like my old self again. But I do have some more shopping to do, before I am finished so I had better get at it.

Take care

Good Luck Angie. I was well in front - then realised that there were things to be done that I hadn't yet done and had to get them done. I went shopping on monday for the food for this week and (I thought) a lot for the Christmas week too. Well, I spent £150 and did get nearly all the stuff for Christmas, althuogh if you looked at the list I still have to get you'd think I had nothing in the cupboards. I've had to put notes all over the freezer and cupboards saying 'ask mom before you tuck in as it might be for Christmas' - it's a blast eh.
They've still eaten some of the Christmas stuff !
AND then whilst I was getting the shopping from the car to the kitchen and from the kitchen back to the car and from the car to the kitchen etc etc - I tripped over the front door step and rehurt my ankle which is quite weak after I badly sprained it 18 months ago, so I am now going around limping everywhere. Such is life.

So I went today and bought a few of the extras I needed, in between working and cooking and cleaning and shopping and limping etc etc - a womans lot - MEN would never understand, well most men.

Anyway, I hope you are feeling much better. My ankle is a bit better today (18th) Ibruprofen is well stocked up and I'm looking forward to the rest. I have my christmas dinner in the freezer so IF I don't get any of the 'other' nicies then at least we shall have a nice Christmas Dinner there are loadsapeople in this world that don't get that, so we ought to think ourselves lucky.

Don't cry in your turkey gravy. Have a nice Christmas and New Year.

Gilll Birch.
