Didn't know you could jazz up cork, is it possible to paint? You could try brushing in some gold or silver leaf you get from craft shops....its fairly easy but delicate to use but it might just add a little shine to cork.

Hi, you can treat your cork tiles as if they were paper - they take all the paint effects etc. Just make sure you seal them well with several coats of varnish when you have finished. The good thing is that you can decorate them before you put them down if you are laying the floor yourself.

have you tried putting on different pictures or shapes to compliment the room and then putting on several coats of yacht varnish

please could someone tell me how to remove old cork tiles along with the glue. They have been down in our kitchen for years and we aer having real probs removing them. We have tried using a bolster chisell and a sharp wallpaper scraper but there must be an easier way . If anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful.
