Can anyone help with some advice?
I have taken the laminate floor up from my hallway and found some lovely terracotta tiles underneath. I would like to paint a border around the edge of them (wasn't lucky enough for them to have a fancy pattern)but am not sure what paint to use also how to seal them afterwards. I have seen something on tv where they melted some kind of wax and oil into a pan but did not catch what it was. I would rather use this method as I remember the presenter saying that it did not make the tiles slippery - which has to be a consideration with two children. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you check with suppliers of quarry floor tiles they should be able to give you advice on what to seal them with as generally the tiles will stain otherwise...

As for preping the tiles I would go for ESP let it go off and then paint... You could make your own stencil or block them using high density foam to create pads.
