I'm about to decorate my son's room. i've decided to give him an 'army' themed room. Does anyone know of anywhere that sells camaflague wallpaper? I've been looking but haven't found anywhere. Or maybe any other ideas as to what i can do on the 'feature' wall? thanks

Hi there

How about a large digital canvas of your son with wacky hair or something like that.

There is a website called 4blankwalls.co.uk that does images for this sort of thing. I think that they do wallpaper all though they don't list that there.

Hope they can help you.

Hi there,

Until you find something you really like for this, how about cadging a massive poster off the local army recruitment shop? You can say that as it will be on the feature wall all his mates will see it too.
Best wishes, Trisha

Hi, Pink Lady,
My memory of the barrack room is of plain walls with the following accessories:-
wooden floors - with a bumper to polish it (don't forget to add some bumper weights for that extra pressure.
metal beds - he must box his blankets his sheets and blankets every day.
a stove - provide the zebo to blacken it regularly.
sash windows - open every night, whatever the weather.
You could provide him with a few brass buttons and the brasso to keep them clean.
Finally, a pair of black boots and plenty of polish - if you can't see your face in them, throw them out of the window, especially when it is raining.
Ah! The memories.
Cheers
Les

hey there pink lady,
you could rent an over head projector and project a camoflage pattern onto the walls and colour it in with camoflage colourd tester pots. thats what my auntie did in my cousins jungle-themed room.

Hey pink lady!

I have an option for you, why not buy a camo net from this web site-
[link]
For a 12'x12' net its £34, cheaper than the equivalent amount of wallpaper.

Just.

hi lu la belle,

Are you allowed to hang pictures? I would have thought yes - if so then this is the way you introduce colour - and you can take it with you when you leave...

Have a look at the competitions and follow the link to the pictures on Willinspire - worth a look.

Hi Les,

My more recent memories of Army life - narrow (2ft 6) bed, old worn out mattress (no wonder I get back problems), industrial carpets, pine furniture with melamine tops, basic wardrobe... but I think the camoflage net is an excelent idea...

First of all, Thankyou eveyone for all your help and ideas. I have decided to paint one wall in 'camaflague' pattern using different 'army' greens, beige, and a little black. On the ceiling, I am going to have a cam net. As for the bed, I am making a duvet cover from camaflague material. Im full of ideas... My son is looking forward to seeing his new room.
Thanks again, Pink Lady xx
