HELP!!! I have just put in new interiors doors and do not want to gloss paint them but would like to do a watered down emulsion on them covered with a varnish finish but do not know the ration to use to water down the paint. can any one help me4 please.

The mix depends on you and how thick you want it (how much you want to see through it) Half and half is quite common but I have seen it at 1/10 (one part paint to ten parts water, which was like a wash). I would try small amounts out on a piece of the same type and colour of wood. When you are satisfied with how much you can see through it then you'll know your ratio

Thank you for that advice, I want to paint my doors too. I would like the grain of the wood to show through, though!
