Hi,
After recently moving into my house, i decided the front garden needs a good sorting out.
there are yukka type plants all over the place!
A neighbour has informed me that they started as one in the middle and they have taken over.
im not really keen on these plants and really just want them out but apparently they originated from burma a number of years ago and was wandering if they are of any importance as all i will do is chop them up and try and kill off the roots, but if a society etc would want them, they can take them for free- well, if they can get them out!!
Thanks

Hi, Im sure someone would have your yukkas. I would put a free ad in your local paper saying 'free to collector' and that way they would be dug up for you. It would be a shame to chop them up. Hope you have some success!

I dont think that you should give them away - a mature Yukka is valuable - say £ 15.00 as I have seen small cuttings on sale for £ 9.00 at the local garden centre.
