I have some old schreiber bedroom furniture, it has cream fronted doors and the frame is wood effect. I was going to sell it, but don't really have many takes and to be honest I would have to pay an arm and a leg to get anything of the same quality and sturdiness now. So....I want to jazz it up and keep it, it's not the sort of surface which can be painted without treatment, and I'm not sure paint is the way to go........the carpet is green and the walls will be painted either green or yellow or both, any ideas?????

Hi, how about sticking some snazzy wrapping paper on the doors? I saw Katherine Rayward do it on one of her shows, she used some paper that had big spots on it. I have to say though when she did it , it did bubble a little so you would have to check out the ways of sticking it on for best effect.
Good luck!

spray adhesive would be good for sticking wallpaper on it, just give the paper a good coat, making sure you get the edges and corners, and stick it to the units. when you are fed up with one, or it gets worn, simply replace!!
make sure you only coat one surace, or its stuck for good!! (make sure you read instructions to see if this applies).
have fun!! Smile
