Hi Rebecca,
I believe that holly is extremely slow growing. I planted some cuttings many years ago and they are hardly spreading their wings in a dramatic fashion.
Just thought you should know.
Cheers

Angie, you are a little treasure. I can't get my cut and paste to work but your alternative solution (go to the life tab) did the trick.
I seem to read and read about this. I answer questions but having four separate endowments makes it very difficult. What I do know, though, is that I do not recall one of them being offered with the knowledge that they might not perform enough to meet the mortgage. I am on to it and I am paving the way to follow Debbie's very clear instructions.
I must not forget young Tricia though. I will also try as many avenues as I can.
Bless you all for caring.
Cheers

Hi, Style Girl,
I think I have lost the plot with this computer. No matter which search engine I go through, I cannot access the website you refer to. Don't know what I have done. Can I access via your search box, please?
Cheers

Hi,
I'm afraid I have not changed my opinion from last year. It's back into the loft again this year to get out the imitation Christmas Tree. Sorry, but once it is decorated there is no difference apart from the smell (I could always climb up one of my Scotch Pines and have a sniff!) and the falling needles (don't I have enough falling from the 30 Scotch Pines?).
Mind you, will there come a time when I am too old to climb up into the loft (and back again, of course)? Maybe then I will reconsider my decision.
Seasons greeting to you all. No more moaning until next year, please. (Wink).
P.S. I think I, or someone else perhaps, has reset my computer so that I cannot select Smilies anymore. (Tears)
Cheers

Hi wallet man,
Your site merely seems to be advertising clearance goods for exactly the same price that the stores themselves e.g. Debenhams own site, are advertising them at. Perhaps, you could clarify, please?

Hi taty,
I am certainly not an 'Agony Uncle', but I do believe that your first port of call should be a doctor or a chiropractor. The Chiropractor won't prove cheap but it will soon be established if it is more serious than just plain backache.
Don't hesitate to go and soon, please.

Hi Anna,
You are lucky. I haven't worked out how to go to the Advent Calendar when I log in, yet.
I have also, apparently, stopped any pictures coming up on the site. All I get next to 'click to insert', above this message box, is two (now 6) boxes each with a red cross in them. Can you resolve that for me, please?
Cheers

No need to worry after today, Tricia and Angela, I said 'White Rabbits' and wished to win some money!
Meantime, UKTVStyle Team (xxx) thanks. I presume Debbie will help me to win the money I wished for?
Best Wishes

It comes under the heading of children's bedding but Thunderbirds wallpaper is definitely there.
Phew!

I seem to think that the Leylandii law and the fox hunting law are one and the same.
You get it instead of decent education, NHS, railwa ys. Wink
But then again you only get the law when its a useful diversionary tactic.
I would imagine the time is nearly right.
You do have my sympathies by the way. I know, from experience, how 30 scotch pines - shedding cones and pine needles, with the occasional branch or two - can drive you to despair. Cry
Keep smiling. Cheers

Sorry, but there will be a short intermission for a few weeks each Friday. A new series of House Doctor on Channel 5 is not to be missed. Thank goodness we got Cable digital to ensure we could tune into Channel 5.
Other than that - three cheers for UKTVStyle's (xxxx and a Hug ) daily menu of everything including the kitchen sink.
Keep smiling

Now then, has anyone noticed how similar Kelly Adams, who plays the Character Mickie Hendrie in Holby, is to Kylie. - I hope Kelly doesn't mind me making the connection.
I think this young actress comes from near Lincoln as well.
I think she is a lovely young lady. I wonder if she can sing?
Kylie or Kelly for me.
Mind you my wife and daughters have banned me from watching TV, reading books, surfing the web - apart from the occasional genuine message board.
Cry
Keep smiling

Yes, probably now is a good time. But I would NOT recommend taking cuttings of Scotch Pines. Just come along and take my down and transplant wherever you wish. Wink

But, Beverley, I am told we must not forget:-
"For every foot of hedge height, there are ten horizontal feet of shelter. Since plants on exposed sites suffer more from wind than from cold, the shelter created by a hedge can allow the cultivation of tender plants."

Dear Carper,
I would still start by going to the web site I mentioned below. They seem to have the world at their fingertips and are probably just waiting for you to ask for advice.

Hi UKTVStyle Team - xxxx
I have just read Sven's reply.
I only have one problem with his response and that is with regard to:-
"One of the most reliable and fast-growing climbers is Hydrangea anomola subsp. Petiolaris"
Sven indicates if it goes a bit wild cut it back.
I had a climbing hydrangea which went wild. I just could not extract it from the fence, however!
Cheers

Hi Beverley,
I have just found the following which I presume is correct. Cheers Les
Leylandii is basically not a tree but a hedge and will not be protected. Leylandii will never be covered by a Tree Preservation Order.
