Hi -without actually seeing your room and knowing how much light it receives etc it is hard to know what colours to suggest. Also you don't mention whether you have chosen any flooring or have any existing furniture. As an interior designer these are all things that I would take into consideration, however unles you are planning a really minimalist interior with very modern stylish piece of furniture I would steer away from pure white in a large room such as this. It will make the space very cold feeling and somewhat unwelcoming, and will be too great a contrast if you go for an accent wall. Again without seeing how the chimney breast wall fits into the room its hard to say, but I think in an area of this size you could be wise to go with a feature wall - but make it a feature wall -not anything too wishy washy!! For example how about a light grey/lavender for most walls with deep purple on the feature wall, or taupe on most walls with raspberry red as a feature. Take a look too at some of the wallpapers available - in large patterns or with shimmery effects -all crying out for a large room such as yours!! In a large room you can dare to be bold!!
I don't know where you live but could help more with photo's etc if required.

Wink Hi. This should work - If you trace the image off the towel and then onto a piece of thick card or paper. Cut this out carefully. Make the room semi dark and get a directional desk lamp to shine onto the wall where you want the image. Hold the cut out in front of the lamp to create a shadow on the wall. Move the cut out nearer or further away from the light to adjust the size. When it's right get someone to draw round the shadow onto the wall. Then you should have the image to paint. Alternativly you could do all the above but draw the image onto some MDF instead. Then it could be painted and fixed to the wall giving a 3d effect and can also be removed if your daughter gets fed up with it (my teenage kids always want something new!!) Hope this helps!!

Frown Hi - I'm afraid there is no easy way -you just need a hammer and chisel. When you are feeling really mad at something you need to smash the tiles and use the chisel to chip them away. depending on what your wall is behind the tiles you are very likely to need some remedial work afterwards, plastering for example, but you may well be able to do this yourself if you are planning to retile over the area as it wont matter if the finish isn't perfect.

Big Grin Hello - Yes I agree that white tiles are going to be your best bet. How about accenting with some glass tiles -try Original Style -they do them in some really great colours including at least one purple. Instead of using them as a dado which is the obvious thing to do why not fix them in a double vertical line in various places eg to one side of the basin and in the shower area or towards one end of the bath. I have done this for several clients and it looks really smart. Use dark purple towels and accessories to bring it all together or raspberry red to contrast and create a "berry coloured bathroom. ( makes a great change from all those blue and aqua bathrooms!!)

Smile Hi. Lemon sounds like it will be nice and light which is a good idea for hall stairs and landing, also nice and welcoming. With laminate flooring you will probably need to go for a neutral creamy coloured carpet although you won't want the whole area to look too bland. Perhaps you could introduce some caramel colours perhaps in the carpet and curtains or alternativly to keep the whole area bright, a fresh mid green colour could be introduced just in a few areas -perhaps as a border on cream curtains and a few accessories etc? Hope all this helps.

Smile Hi -Have you thought about the rich combination of dark red and aubergine - perhaps one wall could be painted in a really rich aubergine colour with the rest in a more neutral pale colour. Dulux Siamese orchid is a realy nice aubergine teamed with their Natural Hessian colour maybe? Woodslat venetian blinds would then look great at the windows. Perhaps you could have scatter cushions on the sofa in the aubergine and neutral with perhaps the odd splash of red?
