I try to watch this program every day and usually end up crying, I only wish I could go and help even if it was to just paint or run around making coffee and sandwiches it would be great. The designers are fantastic and so are the people they get to help with the work. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

This has got to be the most amazing show I've ever watched. Scrap all other makeover programmes, this is THE ONE! Think I cry everytime. What they did for those 8 children was out of this world and the kids were so deserving. Never let this end. FABULOUS

i just want to second a post i read on here earlier, about the fact that uktv has only shown 2 3rds of the second season, and has started showing the first season again....and i am very confused as to why! we love the show, and watch it every day, but we want to see the full second season. is there a specific reason we arent allowed to see it?? Confused we've seen the first season to death, and although its better than no makeover at all, we want more new episodes please Cheeky pretty please Cheeky Cheeky Cheeky Cheeky Cheeky Cheeky

I may sound a bit mean and I don't intend to. It is very sad that the nice lady in Episode 3 lost her husband. But nine children? four girls in one room and four boys having their bedroom in the hall because the house isn't big enough - surely they knew the house they were living in wasn't big enough before embarking on parenthood for the umpteenth time. Not to say she didn't deserve a little help either - good luck to them all for what they havebeen given - but surely it was quite selfish to expect all those children to live like that?

And while I am having a rant - there are too many adverts asking for handouts for poor children - people, often in the developing countries, have so many children living in small shacks with no proper facilities or food, scavenging on rubbish tips etc ... its not the childrens fault and I do not begrudge them help whatsoever - but I wish money would be spent educating and protecting them so that they don't grow up and have as many children suffering - I also understand that parenthood can be forced upon some women in exceptional circumstances.

I am "friends" with a single parent who gets everything paid for because she decided to have a baby with no means of supporting it instead of getting a job. She got a council flat with no rent or council tax to pay, a bonus payment for a pram etc, income support, child benefit, decorating allowance (when she demanded a bigger flat with the baby) etc. She is talking of having another because this one will be going to school soon. She can afford to go out now and then to the pub.

I go to work doing several jobs including cleaning, pay taxes etc whilst looking after a disabled husband and elderly parents and have a meagre income and nothing left once the bills are paid. I havent got any children because I have never afforded them or expected to be given anything to support them. I am not moaning about it though, I have made my choices and must live accordingly.

I just wish some people would admit that they have made their choices and get on with it instead of moaning about how hard it is after and expect everyone to support their choices and or mistakes.

Thank you and best wishes.

This is one of the most wonderful programmes I have ever watched and I spend each day crying at the plight of the people the team help. Being very much in a similar position as many of the homeowners that recieve help I understand fully how they feel when they see their new homes. It gives me strength to carry on knowing there are such people in the world. Don't stop making the programmes they are an inspiration. Hug

Tongue Hello, I agree with most of the messages here.
Do they ever go back for a revisit say after a year to see how people are ? That would make good viewing too.

I have just watched EMHE How'd they do that?It gave a real inside look to just how many people are on the EHME team & how much effort is put in to get everything right for each individual family. It may cost a million dollars to build a new dream home but at the end of the day nothing can replace the person or memories that have been lost. This programme brings new life and joy to those who need it and boy do they know how to show their appreciation in America!!!

i love the extreme team. The work they do is indeed 'Awesome'. But alot of people go to make this happen and i wonder how ABC can keep doing this? Do the extreame team have a fan club? They should judging by the comments on the web. Did the Lewis family come through OK? What happens a year on from a makeover? When will the team go back and see how it has affected peoples lives, i'd love to see the Indian war hero's again.....Gaye Timbrell

i fell in love with this programme the first time i watched it, i cry every episode, my favorites have been the vardons, the cadigan-scotts and loads more. i wish there were follow ups to the progammes so we could see how they are getting on. i would like to find out if possible what happened to dustin rainford who was suffering from cancer when they built his new house. To ty and the team, keep up the good work you are one hell of a team and do make a big difference to not only the people you feature on the programme but also to us watching. Thank you. xxxxxxxxxxx
