Antique pine - how to strip/wax?

I have just inherited an old (Victorian) chest of drawers. It is slightly orangey in colour, which leads me to think it has been varnished/oiled in the past. I wanted to strip it back and then wax it to give it more of a honey colour.

Does anyone know how to go about this/what products to use?

Hi Sarah,
get the old wax off first, or varnish with stripper, I would then give it a light sanding against the grain then wipe over with a lint free cloth to remove the dust, and then apply briwax or similar with a fine000 grade wire wool again going with the grain, polish off the wax with a soft cloth.

hope this helps x Tongue
