I really would like to paint or spray paint my kitchen worktops. I am in rented accomdation and although i cannot replace my worktops it would be fine for me to paint over them. My worktops are currently this horrible multi coloured marble effect colour and i think it looks so dated.
Could anybody suggest any products to me that would be most ideal to use and hard wearing to paint over my work tops. Would it be best to paint my worktops or spray paint them?
Also i may decide to paint or spray paint my mdf kitchen cupboards which type of products would do this job the best? I am not sure right now if a more matt or lacqured shiny look would be best.

I had a medium oak kitchen I bought some cheap tiles B & Q and some black work tops from Wickes then painted my cupboards in devon cream cupboard paint from B & Q, it looks like I spent £0000 on it and I think it cost me about £500 all together everyone that comes in thinks I have had a new kitchen its great.
