Hi, We have just had our survey back from a great house we want to buy But it says that the walls are made of concrete not bricks Does this matter?! Some people have mentioned 'concrete rot' The house was built in 1880

Hi there
Concrete sometimes can breakdown depending on the conditions (moisture etc).

The best thing i would say to do is to contact a concrete manufacturer. They have scientists who ork for them and would be able to give you expert advice for free as well as be able to tell you how to fix the problem.
