MarkyRob..

You can get a black ash veneer 0.8mm.. you'll have to go to a timber specialist for it, somewhere like Arnold Laver or Haworth Timber and use that to cover the speakers. If you've ever used edging strips on mdf or kitchen worktop it's very similar to work with.

Rups.. Yeah do it exactly how you would wrap a present, so wrap the longer edges in 1st- staple them and then fold the top and bottom paper over, then staple and just trim the back down with a stanley knife ( Not that anyone would ever be looking behind it but just so it looks neat) you can also get a glaze to paint over the wallpaper so it's more durable and you can wipe it down.
I've got a 6Foot x 2 Foot one at the top of the stairs and it looks fab( And the best part is you can go down to B&Q and just pick up a strip of 'tester' paper for free)

I've been having a nightmare trying to find some wallpaper.. All I want is a large deep red flower on a cream background, ideally with some gold or silver in it ( untextured) for 1 wall in the bedroom. I can't seem to find any for love nor money! I've tried homebase, B&Q, local suppliers in Leeds and can't find anything at all. I've tried looking on the internet but finding wallpaper on there doesn't seem that easy.
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions, or if they've seen anything similar in any other large stores?

Thanks in advance

Rups, what I did was rather than use a canvas, I made my own frame. They're really easy to do, just decide how big you want it to be.
To make the frame, measure out how big you want it to be, go down to your local wood supplier ( anywhere that offers a cutting service) and have them cut 2" x 1"timber to the sizes you needs for the frame, and then some hardboard for the total size of the top cover. Get some wood pins and just knock them in to make up the frame. Then with you having a hard surface it's really easy to paste wallpaper onto it. Then I just folded it all around the frame, and then stapled the paper to the back of the frame. I've got 3 altogether and 1 of them I used wallpaper on and the other 2 I used material and just stapled it around the frame.
With nicely pattered fabric being about £10sqm you can make a really big wall hanging for about £25 inc the frame.
