what are these serving police officers doing agreeing to be filmed in the course of their duty and what monies are paid to them over and above their salaries for expenses and tv appearances.why are they being filmed at all when each and every person filmed is not guilty until he or she has been in court.

A would doubt that they get paid any extra for allowing the cameras with them, i would hope that the Police officers are allowing themselves to be filmed in the hope that it may deter someone from making the mistake of breaking the law..
Me personally, i watched one of the shows when a young girl aged only 23 was killed on her way to work purely because some idiot decided to play with his mobile phone in the cab of his van, at that point i vowed to myself NEVER to use my mobile when driving again, the obvious pain on the girls sisters face was terrible, i, like everyone else, never really apppreciated the dangers.. watching this show has changed my opinion on driving because i never want to be the guy that causes that kind of pain to ANYONE...
A big thank you to the guys on the show for changing my mind BEFORE it's too late.....
