Dallas arrives on UKTV Gold
Hi there - Dallas is taking a temporary break during August. The show will be back at the start of September. Apologies for any confusion caused.

Do you think UKTV gold-plated may bring back Dynasty-any Dynasty fans out there?
I know they re-ran Dynasty about 6 years ago-I was watching the episodes on the morning of my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this new season would see the unspoken battle between Katherine and Pam begin resulting in Pam going off with a newbie called Mark and her and Bobby splitting.
How can UK tv gold say the ratings were too low!!!!!!!??????!!!!!

I had hopes that UKTV would be airing the complete series of DALLAS and just cannot believe they've stop it without any advance notice. I did read on another forum that DALLAS had good ratings on UKTV Gold and that they bought the rights to show up to the end of Season 8.
PLEASE BRING BACK DALLAS.

The DALLAS Season 5 DVD is really Season 4 which was just aired on UKTV Gold. The DVDs are numbered differently than the actual seasons because the first 5 episodes are Season 1 on DVD instead of mini-series.
So, the next season UKTV Gold should have started airing today is season 5 which is the DALLAS Season 6 DVD. This is the exciting season with Jock's Will and the nasty battle between J.R. and Bobby for control of Ewing Oil which is considered as one of the best seasons of DALLAS.

David R, you said there was no plans to show any more new Dallas episodes THIS year. Does that mean it'll be shown next year?

I awoke this morning to an angry yelp from downstairs, no, twas not the menopause, I mean the literal downstairs of my house where my husband was swearing at the TV.
"UKTV have done it again have they??" I shout, knowing full well that this is the case, the only time I see my man this angry nowadays is when theres a UKTV schedule change - he's quite the telly addict as am I.
So, he storms up to me and rants about how Dallas has been canceled and my mouth drops, no no no no not Dallas says I!
Dallas is a very special show for both of us you see, we actually met a Dallas-themed costume party back in the 80's!! Bit silly i know but he was Bobby and i was Pamela!! So as you can tell, we're big fans and I'm completely let down now that i hear its over.
We've been joking all day that we should dig out our old outfits and act out some of our favorite Dallas scenes in the front room for old times sake, what will the neighbors say?

i am soooo angry about this i have sky+ and i have put the child lock on ukgold and changed
the pin number so no-one in this house can watch it..... oh i have also done ukgold +1 too!!!!!!!

Oh dear - UKTV Gold are up to their old tricks again.
I stopped watching this channel some time ago (see my posting on page 2 of this thread) re. the Casualty/Holby debacle.
I did wonder if I was cutting my nose off to spite my face in not watching Dallas (loved it in the 80's). However, I was so disgusted the way us (the viewers) had been treated i.e. no communication etc. that I could no longer tune into this channel.
And boy - am I so glad I did. Opening up my emails today after a few days off there was a bombardment of 'New message board posts'.
Come on UKTV - Comminicate. Don't treat the remaining viewers with contempt. Oh and by the way I noticed that you put Holby City on for one week a couple of months ago - Wow!! I know Casualty is on this channel at present but I think I will keep to the good 'ole BBC for the current series.

UKTV GOLD - Please please please bring back DALLAS.
This is just not fair showing up to Season 4 when there are still 9 seasons left to be shown. I love all 13 seasons of DALLAS as they've all got good episodes.
UKTV Gold should have began today showing Season 5 (Season 6 dvd) which is the fantastic season-long, nasty battle between J.R. and Bobby for control of Ewing Oil and is one of DALLAS' best seasons. In fact, if UKTV Gold had shown the next 3 seasons then they would have got alot of viewers as they are 3 of DALLAS' best seasons. UKTV Gold stopped airing DALLAS just when it was heading into the best seasons!
I'm going to order the DALLAS DVDs from amazon.co.uk or hmv.co.uk . Some seasons on DVD are cheap at around £15 per season.

As a die-hard fan I'm shocked at Uk gold treating us like this-I was beside myself on Saturday when I tried-like many others- to series link the episodes on my planner for the week ahead, to find no trace of Dallas in the listings! How can they not mention that it's gone off air-with all the other rubbish they do mention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

opened up my email this morning to be bombarded with notifications of updates on the site and guessed straight away trouble was brewing yet again - just like in the summer - and i tune into uk gold at midday to discover DRWHO! - so after spending the last 20 minutes catching up on the messages of anger from fellow dallas fans - i think the ONLY way forward is to follow the line that SMILEY suggested - the episodes were sponsored by SHEILAS WHEELS - so lets get bombarding SHEILAS WHEELS publicity department with our feelings - maybe they have some clout? obviously the organ grinder doesnt care so lets go to the monkey - and i mean that in the nicest possible way! meantime my xmas list is now dvds of DALLAS DALLAS DALLAS and i just hope that eventually ALL the series that were made will be released. Even my 15 year old son was hooked !

That is the most rediculous thing I read about your Dallas run, how can you only run up to season 4. I'm sure amazon will be happy about this, tell you what why doesn't ITV just air the first half of the world cup final on saturday......I can't whatch this channel anymore, I feel really let down. If you had said at the beggining of last week that friday was the last one I would defanately had a better feeling about UKtv Gold.

I loved Dallas when it first aired but only ever saw from series 6, it was great being able to watch it from the start
What a let down, I feel so down that UK Gold have done this and only bought up to series 4, we want to see all of the episodes
