I had my favourite toy on my 7th birthday nearly 50 years ago. It was a skipping rope that had ball bearings in the handles to stop the rope from twisting up. I thought I was the bees knees! Hug

My favourite childhood toy was my Coca Cola spinner Yo-Yo. Does anyone remember them? There were 2 different styles. There was the Coca Cola Style (or Super... can't quite remember), which was two plastic coca cola circles with a white rim, the Coca Cola Professional, which was the same with a clear rim, and it was slighty heavier than the Style. The Styles cost £1.50 and the Professionals cost £1.99. There was an exclusive one as well, the Gold Spinner. You could only get these by finding the letter G under your ring pull. I was lucky enough to find one, and it was the best one you could ever have. They each came with a little booklet illustrating 10 tricks which you had to master. I mastered 7 of them. The other 3 were virtually impossible, especially The Four Leave Clover. Fanta and Sprite did some too, but they weren't as sucessful as Coca Cola. Everyone I knew had one, and they were a must have toy for any kid. I wish I'd kept mine. That was my classic toy Smile

Mine was something I never actually owned, despite harrassing my parents for ever and a day, and begging and pleading at Christmas and my birthday. I always wanted a 'Mr Frosty' slush maker....I seemed to think it would be the height of sophistication for me and my friends (kind of like a 6 year old's cocktail party?!?!) The other day I actually saw one in the window of a charity shop, and it brought the memories flooding back.......I was soooooooooo tempted, despite being 34!

Big Grin My favorite toy was my little teddy bear. I loved it so much he last his fur, when I was ill I rubed Vic onto his chest (because that is what my mom did to me). But one bay my horrid dog shook him so much that he landed up in the fire. I was heart broken, no other teddy could ever replace Peter Bear. Angry

Growing up my favourite toy was my little brother. He required no batteries and was always available to play and blame whenever I got up to mischief Develish

The great thing about this toy is that whenever I was sad, he would always make me happy and he always played monopoly with me during the winter months and didn’t complain when I cheated.

I still have this toy and you know what, I don’t think I will ever grow too old to play with it!
Big Grin

My favorite toy when I was young was my Six Million Dollor Man figure. For those old enough to remember he had a roll back piece of rubber on his arm that when rolled back exposed his "amazing" bionic circuits. To really add to the enjoyment though was the hole on the back of his head that meant you could look through it and see through his "bionic" eye!!!!!! Big Grin
Marvelous

My favourite toy was a Space 1999 "eagle" model, in which I gained by swapping my well-used star-wars sand-speeder.
Hours of fun ensued but in the end, it was time to send the eagle into the fires of destruction, by purchasing a fine box of bluebell matches for 5 pence ( this could still be achieved at the age of 9, ah the 70's!!!), finding a small corner in a disused basement stair off the main street, bulding a small boy-scout fire and sending the eagle, along with the poor occupants to a flaming death.
On examining the melting plastic of my favourite toy it seemed that I had indeed made a mistake but alas it was too late..... If only Cmdr. John Koenig had warned me of the impending doom, I still may have my cherished "eagle" as a reminder of that great decade.............. Develish

Confused its quite hard to decide what was my ab fab fav toy as a child i think if i was totally honest it would have to be MY LITTLE PONY
i loved it so much. i learnt how to plat hair on them as my mum wouldnt let me have a sindy or barbie doll it was the next best thing.....

That was until one of my 3 older brothers decided it would be really funny to chop all the hair off them.
Still to this day none of them will own up!!!! Cry
