This was the best comedy ever written! John Cleese is a genius. I'm only 25 and wasn't around when it first got aired, but I have the DVD box set and over what 30 years, it's still funny and I can watch them over and over again!
Fantastic Comedy! Thanks John!

Ooh-Matron

Fawlty Towers was genius comedy because it was based on an actual hotel that John Cleese stayed in, and from where he got the inspiration.
It might be old, but I still laugh out loud at what has become a legend of British television.
Its difficult to pick a favourite, as all 12 episodes were brilliant, but I guess "Communication Problems" and "The Kipper And The Corpse" stand out for getting so much comedy crammed into so little time.
The Major and Miss Gatsby & Tibbs made the whole series complete as wonderful "regular guests"
Long may Fawlty Towers be repeated..................as the previous comment suggests, many younger viewers are watching this for the first time, and will continue to do so for many years to come I'm sure.
