HOW COULD YOU!!! NO MORE DALLAS
What is the point of getting into a series if you are going to pull it without warning!! UK Gold is now off my list of channels, its not worth getting into something, especially if scrapped when there is a (excuse the punn) cliffhanger.
Myself and numerous friends are really disappointed and disgusted at your lack of continuity and concern for viewers wishes. Angry Angry Angry Angry Mad Mad Mad

i think that while it is a good episode the best one is the hotel inspectors. its really funny because of what he does to the spoons dealer near the very end when he pies his face and pours milk in his briefcase, shows him to the door, kisses manuel and then screams when he sees the inspectors Cool

How can you mention the word comedy with out mentioning Only Fools and Horses - they are undisputably the best and most lasting comedy series ever made: Scenes where do I start. Del falling through the bar, Del showing his baby to the stars, Casandras miscarriage, Denzil thinking he's having a nervous breakdown when he sees Del and Rodney on a passing ship, Giving Gary the kidnapped french man a "Ruby"..I could go on for ever-so how come you didn't list them?

I think Blackadder was the best comedy on tv, with Baldrick, and Queenie it was a good laugh. Develish

Wicked child! Can you not see that 'Beer' is the best Blackadder episode in Christendom. Myself and Nathaniel will each drag a cannonball on a chain for the rest of the week. Just one as two cannonballs would be an extravagance!

The Alan Partridge episode with Dan in it is THE best ever Alan Partridge written! I especially love the bit in the car park when he shouts Dan several times in a desperate bid to get his attention! soooo funny. There is another episode tho,the one with The southafrican bloke at apache communications...No Alan, you cant! said in a southafrican accent! Back of the net! Jackanackanory!

Vicar of Dibley funniest episode is the one where Gerladine has to eat several Christmas dinners. Watching her tring to force in one more brussel sprout to beat David in a bet has me roaring. Later watching her crawling along the road to full to walk again has me rolling over! Big Grin

It's a good selection, but would've rather seen Black Books or Peep Show instead of Dibley - it's a bit too obvious for me, although you can't fault Dawn French. Steve Coogan is fantastic, never seen anything that I don't like him in, but then again I haven't seen around the worlds in 80 days! (the one with Jackie Chan). My favourite Partridge episode could be the one where he goes to his old school to give a talk, or the valentines episode where he ends up taking his date to an owl sanctuary, o0r maybe it's the James Bond episode, or the one where he impales his foot trying to break into Choristers and ends up giving a presentation on morphene!? It's all too good to be able to choose!

Big Grin The crazed fan "mentalist" episode is definitely one of the best. Those two Irish guys he was with were so understated that it made it even funnier in contrast to Alan's panic. And I loved it when the fan came out with the tea in the persil scoop thingy!!

I am so glad you picked Blackadder! That is def the best - how can you beat Baldrick's classic poem 'Boom, boom , boom... Big Grin !

And when he use substitutes for the coffe because they run out of supplies has got to make anyone cringe!

AND...how may programmes can make you laugh that much all the way through and then cry at the end??

Goodbyeee, what can i say always seemed funny to me that a guy who is totally insane would have to try to make out he is not many comedy shows have a claim to almost stopping my heart but here is one of the all time greats(blood vessels burst on my face just thinking about it) Blackadder is badly missed by so many im sure but for me its tickled me in places no other comedy has ever reached. cant fault your choices keep it up Big Grin

The Vicar of Dibley has had me laughing until I cried and then again when re-counting the episodes with another Dibley fan. I can't help but love it. The Wedding episode was superb, the other most memorable episode was the Christmas one where everyone invited her to Christmas Dinner and her and David had a sprout eating contest. Hold my sides!!! Big Grin

It's got to be the last episode of I'm Alan Partridge - the one where the bald Brummie slapheads suddenly leap from the audience and run amok in the studio. Alan's face plus the sheer unexpected abandon of the slapheads had me laughing more than I did in ages. I was literally unable to breathe and my face hurt from the effort. Absolutely superb.

I agree! This is my favourite episode as I book hotels in London and Fawlty Towers - Communication Problems really sums up what can be like dealing with difficult guests. The best example being:

Basil to Mrs Richards: Well, may I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically...

And the classic: Basil: A satisfied customer. We should have him stuffed.

My favorite episode of the Blackadder series has to be Balckadder II Episode 5: Beer.

You know, the one where Edmund has his Aunt and Uncle Whiteadder over for dinner, as well as hosting a drinking party at the same time!

The embarrassing incident with the turnip is so very silly you just can't help but laugh! Infact the whole episode is so ridiculous it has me in stiches with tears rolling down my face every time!

By the way, just had to say my favorite few lines from Bladder, has to be from Blackadder II, Episode 1: Bells

Baldrick, hanging on the back of the door: 'Not to worry my lord, the arrow didn't infact enter my body. No, by a thousand to one chance my willy got in the way'.

I agree with the Communication problems episode on Fawlty Towers, i think Mrs Richards is hilairious!! Especially Manwell with the horse Dragon fly. It is an excellent episode and one of my favourites. Poor Basil, he looses out on everything!! Smile
