Johncas - You have completely missed the point, we are not reporting UKGold to watchdog because of the laws they are breaking, but because of the scam they are pulling, claiming that UKGold is in fact a golden channel to show golden shows of the golden ages, when in fact they show last months repeats!

Take Casualty, yes we are all aware it is a 20 year old show, but the series which they are showing is definitely not 20 years old, as they are about to go on to show series 19 - A-flipping-GAIN!!!! We want to see older episodes of Casualty, like series 14/15, like they used to, when it was a good channel. And the same goes for shows like The Bill, and Neighbours, and Eastenders

Yes but while you may have missed one of the episodes of Only Fools which they repeat repetitively, most of the nation, and most of the world probably have, and doesn't mean that UKGold can keep their programming this way!

AMEN to the archives of 50s-90s, they don't show it anywhere, use the privelage wisely - NOT LIKE THIS! or else do just change the name of the channel to anything OTHER than UKTV Gold, coz you're defeating the object otherwise!

Where is DYNASTY? Dallas has been shown no less than 3 times since Dynasty last appeared. Dynasty is 137 episodes shorter so it shouldn't cost as much!.

Change the name of UKTV GOLD to UKTV ONE and UKTV G2 to UKTV TWO as there is nothing gold about them

I think UKTV gold should be just to UKTV ONE and UKTV g2 to UKTV TWO as ther is nothing gold about them only the od series as at the moment we are watching last years Doctor who why they sitl repeat it on BBC 3, I want to se the old ones as well as the new ones also instead of making rublbish like Wogan now and then do speacial shows on classic shows like the stories behind them, I agre they did it once with only fools but need more. Also Before I go I want backing from as may people as I can get and I wil send it to the BBC as I would love to se a channel that shows the golry days of 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's tv with speacial shows going in depth of the classic days, in fact I wrote to the BBC once half ownes of UKTV network and said it would be great to see a BBC Archive channel as ther got a complete archive going to waste, in fact I think ITV are using as sen ther shows like the Two ronnies and others and I think that puts them to shame.

I am sick of seeing such new programmes on uktv gold.

I used to love watching the original Eastenders and the good old shows from the 80's. It's a shame that they have lost their way and forgot what has put them where they are today. They need to realise that we watched this channel due to the content, so therefor if they do a complete re-shaping of it, they will loose viewers.

I think some of you have missed the point, to clear this up a bit uktv havnt broken any laws, but they have upset a lot of viewers. Surley most people can see that uktv gold just play the same things over and over and over X1000 AND OVER and over again, WITHOUT justifying it. How many more times can you watch the vicar of dibley, fawlty towers, only fools, dinnerladies, mrs bucket and murder she wrote? Some of these shows only have a few episodes and a week later they are on again! Prison break should be on uktv drama as its not an oldie, i have suggested they scrap uktv food and or gardens and give us uktv usgold for american stuff and free up ukgold for the best of british tv from the 60`s-90`s.

They have broken NO Rules you cant report a channel for what they show they wore set up to show programs like only fools and horses and the bill they have the right to show it if you dont like it there are 100 other channels on sky there must be somthing you can watch UK TV Gold show classic tv programs and thats what there showing
CASULTY East Enders and The Bill ARE not recent shows they have been going on for years the bill has been going for 20 years or so now and eastenders ages

So whyle the watchdig staff are laughing away I surgest you watch say the Discovery channel NO Soaps and some great programs

And as for UKTV gold I like what there showing because I have seen some episodes ot Onlly Fools that I have never seen before

Well, Wentworth2006, I hope you never watch Prison Break on UKTV Gold (your name would suggest otherwise), as its hardly an old or British show.

There are so many channels on cable TV these days, flick through I'm sure you'll find something else you like!

lol...so because a tv channel isn't showing what you want it to show, you're reporting it to ofcom?!

and yeah, as for reporting it to watchdog, i can't see why a consumer programme would be interested in this...

I have been looking through aload of your posts and I beleave that you are indeed connected with UKTV as how you keep defending them..

Even though I like only Casualty and Prison Break on Gold but I have also sent a complaint about lack of programmes on UKTVGold to Watchdog.

yes put it on at 2.00am in the morning, so we dont have to endure the rubbish.

Why report the to Watchdog? They haven't broken any laws. Furthermore, Watchdog is a BBC production and the UKTV is pretty much owned by the BBC so I doubt the complaints would amount to much.

I think UKTV is great and they should stick to their current schedule, although maybe The Bill on a little later eachday and catchups on the weekend.
