UKTV FILMS...

...i think this would be a great idea! for the people who cant afford sky movies, there isnt many film channels available, (5 i think) so, what about uktv films? sounds good yeah?! e.g. could be monday: comedy, tuesday: romantic, wednesday: action, thurs: thriller, fri: horror, sat: true stories, sun: sports film. ok, this may eventually push up your monthly subscription charge but it wont go as high as having sky movies! and in case your wondering, yes, ive had sky movies and got sick and tired of the same films coming on, which in turn meant less tuning in2 sky movies and still paying for the service i didnt really use. what do you think??? I have just joined a well known company for online dvd rentals. got my first one through the post yesterday.
Im also a avid horror fan and have around 1,300 dvd/vhs myself. its not like im stretched for films to see its just a thought, a uktvfilms would be a good idea. ive just changed my sky package so i no longer receive news channels and style channels. paid for for months but never used so im saving money that way which now goes to pay for the online rentals. it works out at 49p a month for my online club which isnt bad at all.

Hi there - UKTV Gold is planning to show more movies (we've got a midweek movie season in May for example) but, to be honest, a dedicated UKTV movie channel isn't really on the cards. I personally don't find ad breaks that disruptive in a film but I agree with BIGJC that an online DVD company is a good alternative to subscription channels, as long as you don't mind a bit of planning. If you haven't already, go to

I cancelled sky movies a long time ago and now rent dvd's from an online company. That is your best move. Forget films on channels like this as you won't get anything recent and it will be full of advert breaks. Angry
