CAN'T YOU RE-START THIS SOAP AS YOUR GETTING TO FARE NOW TO CALL IT GOLD FORGOD SAKE I HAVE SEEN ALL 2003 - NOW AND I WILL BE STOPPING WATCHING IT AFTER THESE 2002 EPISODES HAVE FINISHED

WHAT A CRAP CHANNEL.. A NEWS CHANNEL IS BETTER THAN THIS CHANNEL AT LEAST OTHER NEWS FOOTAGE IS SHOWN ON A NEWS CHANNEL INSTED OF ENDLESS REPEATS OF SHOWS THAT YOU KEEP DRAGGING OUT.

I am really enjoying the old eppys of Trevor and Lil Mo long may they continue.

i love the 2002 episodes of eastenders long may they continue to show 2003

Obviously you didn't watch Eastenders in its heyday, it really was a good show. Unfortunatly it has turned into a joke these days and is more like a caricature of its former self. The early episodes are a fascinating insight into cultural attitudes at the time and there were some fantastic story lines. I personally think the BBC don't want to air the old episodes because it will show us how much it has deteriorated and that the storylines today are just repeats of what they have done before. Please show vintage episodes of Eastenders alongside the newer ones, that way you can please us all.

At present we don't have any plans to screen older episodes of Eastenders as this would interrupt the continuity of the storylines we are currently screening.

We may have to revert back to older episdoes in the future as we are catching up with the BBC1 transmissions very quickly but there are no immediate plans to do this at present.

Can you least confim this though Richard.. when EastEnders is reverted back to classic episodes.. is there a chance that it can be reverted back to episode 1

Please start Eastenders from the beginning. Please please please, it was so much better then.

can you please put eastenders on at a later time because morning episodes arent exactly coveniant for everybody are they? a few years ago you had an episode in morning and 1 in the afternoon do you think you could do that again please please please i really like the 2003 episodes and i cant always watch them so an afternoon time would be cool

I agree with you. Eastenders needs to be put back to its old time of 12.40 or 1. O clock as it is inconvenient for many people and i love these 2003 episodes.

Why did the times change?

i dont know why lol but i think it might be because they wanted to put more programmes on there than before but i dont know thats just a guess but it was stupid putting them just morning times because now its inconveniant they should put it back to how it was it was better least then will have half the chance of catching up with whats happening lol

But then again, maybe a soap channel would be quite cool. You could start every single soap from the beginning. But then it would be better if UKTV Gold went right to the start of Eastenders, or at least the 1990s

Eastenders was a fantastic show, that has now become a politically correct pantomime, please show the old ones because they are a fascinating insight into the past and had many gritty storylines tackling the issues of the day, rather than endless lesbian love triangles and gangsters, yawn.
I understand what people are saying about too many soaps, on UKTVG...(etc etc) + 1 hour but I think that is because these programmes have just been aired recently on the BBC and there is not enough other quality programming to balance it out.
How about a vintage soap channel and leave Gold for QUALITY comedy and drama? Please before I switch off never to return, when I do watch UKTV I purposly turn over when the ads are on so I don't have to be marketed to by a channel that I already pay for and that treats its viewers like idiots.

Four weekends of Eastenders time to switch channels to get away from this brain dead rubbish.

Why everytime you do a EastEnders weekend you only show the same episodes again... every weekend you do with a stupid name you only show the same bleddy episodes..

What a waste of weekend entertainment putting this rubbish on?
