You guys have kept the Doctor Who flag flying since it first went off the air in 89. Thanks a million; if it wasn't for you we probably wouldn't have trhe series back today.

Please could you change the time of the old DoctorWho to mid day or somthing because 6am is a bit to early for me and i would like to know what the old Doctors were like THANKYOU!

Basically you can't get more 'UK' or 'GOLD' than Doctor Who - its pure magic!
It would be nicer not to get up at such an early hour on a Weekend - surely the Doc has more fans than the A-Team!!
Please renew the licence for the Tom Baker era and my summer will be complete (World Cup etc)

i get freeview and can't get classic who because its shown before noon!!! any chance you could shove it into the afternoon slot or even late nights?

UK TV Gold isn't on Freeview. Freeview is a free system.

However another system runs over the air too, called TopUpTV.

TopUpTV has nothing to do with Freeview it's completely different, TopUpTV isn't 'on' Freeview. Both Freeview and TopUPTV are on DTT.

I understand a lot of people get confused and think TopUpTV is part of Freeview when it's not it's two completely separate systems using your TV aerial.

TopUPTV has limited space, as Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) has limited capacity, the vast majority of this is used by Freeview. TopUpTV just doesn't have the capacity to show channels for more hours, so they have to time share the available space, this is why UKTV Gold is only on for so many hours of the day, when it isn't on, another channel is broadcast instead.

UKTV would like to have longer hours, but this just isn't going to happen until analogue TV is switched off and more space is available.

You will need to contact TopUpTV and let them know you'd like to see more of UKTV Gold, but remember the more of UKTV Gold you see the less of other channels on TopUpTV you will see.

Classic Dr Who disappears from UKTV GOLD as of May 7th, where to?, i duno, its only the "gold" thing on the channel! bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, Doctor Who finishes next week with The Twin Dilemma on the saturday and The ultimate foe on the sunday.

Does anyone know if Doctor Who's coming back or is it finally time for the doctor to dematerialise?

I'm actually suprised that it hasn't been marketed with the new series, and now it's being taken off completely. I registered on this site purely for this comment and I can't enjoy my weekends without it.. sort of.

Please reconsider, so as not to lose this puppy-powting viewer.

Surely we must be due repeats of classic who now, the new series has whetted our appeatities for more. Fans old and new would love to see the classic show one more ime wouldn't we!!

stop showing the new doctor who series, you keep repeating the same ones over and over and the BBC have just showed them not long ago!

I'm waiting for classic Who to return as well. I was anticipating the Tom Baker era starting but it seems an awfully long time coming. I have just sent an email via the 'contact us' link, don't know whether this will reach anyone in the programming dept.
