I think what David's trying to say here is that he's trying to pass on messages of a general consensus among all viewers, dealing with getting the episodes we want of Holby City and Casualty will require becoming a part of the Gold channel team yourself... which is something I admit I am considering!

The man speaks! There was me thinking you were the Gold team...

Thing is, you said that to me about a year ago... and I foolishly believed you, thinking we might get some of the things we requested. But if you are in fact passing on ALL these comments to the Gold team, and have been ever since they began, then why has there been no changes whatsoever? Leaving us to comment and complain further, through a lack of changes to the schedule.

We do realise that it is your job and not ours to change the schedule, but seeing as we're the ones who actually watch it, and for some of us, you're the only channel with the rights to show old episodes of our favourite shows, .eg Casualty, Holby City, Neighbours and The Bill... and you can understand that when we are watching a channel titled UKTVGold, and what we get is neither UK or Gold it can be more than a little frustrating.

I just find it hard to believe that the Gold team could really care in the slightest about anything we have to say, when in fact some of us may actually have some idea what we're talking about.

Come on David my friend... all you gotta do is use the mouse and click reply... yu can do it with one hand... really isn't all that difficult.

I so badly want you to just talk to me... why do I feel like I'm asking to win the lottery here?

Before you delete this one Dave.. I took out anything that might have been interpreted as offensive, this is a perfectly nice message desperate for a response.

I've been reading through these topics, and one after the other they're all saying the same thing, what happened to UKGold? When can we get our channel back? I miss the old UKGold, I miss the good programs that were actually Gold.

Well I'm sick and tired of hearing it and nothing being done! People have been complaining for over a year now, and the fact that nothing's been done tells me that UKGold obviously don't have a good enough reason to please their viewers, so let's give them a good enough reason. If we all hate the layout so much, then why bother tuning in at all?! Why not just hiatus from the channel?!

Admittedly, a few people isn't gonna make a mountain's worth of difference, but I'm sure if we were to take a look at ratings they have already plummeted immensely since the saga began, we just need to tip them off the edge in order to get our channel back.

DavidUKTV - You've deleted this message twice already and did that get rid of me? No. I know exactly where your office is and I'm more than tempted to drive down there and speak to you myself if that's what it takes to get a response, good thing I've got a whole week off, a full tank of petrol and a sat/nav, I'm set! One way or another I will get a response from you Dave, I will find out why you make the decisions you do, I genuinely just want to know, I'm not trying to be offensive, but your defense makes it impossible for me to get you to respond any other way. JUST TALK!

Out of curiosity... do you only hire people with actual experience? Because everybody has to start somewhere, and get their experience from somewhere. My qualifications in Performing Arts won't help me here I'm guessing?

...sly Wink - Yea, God I miss those days of coming home from school and tuning into UKGold, everybody would know not to speak to me for the next 2 hours, as Holby City and Casualty were on... didn't this channel used to be called UKTV Gold? Anyone remember why that was?!

Well I rather wish I was a goldfish with no memory, I think I would enjoy the same episodes of Casualty on a loop a helluva lot more! (though not that much, because, to be honest, s19 and s20 weren't that exciting the first time round anyway!) Casualty lost it's magic when Holly left, got it back when Lara joined, and lost it for good when she left!

From what I gather, Casualty will be off-air for a while, while they figure out which episodes of s19 and 20 they've only shown 13 times over (as apposed to 15) before they repeat those 2 season again ^o) - *unimpressed*

The reason they didn't show Woody's death was because it is part of a crossover with Holby City and Holby City are currently repeating series 5 over and over and over and over (I wanna see Connie!) So forget any chance of that happening, I think I have the 2nd part of that crossover on video if that helps?

Hey guys guess what? I've got s15 on DVD! All I need now is s14 and s16 and I never have to watch or worry about UKGold again! (Not that I do anyway these days)

Tell me about it... Bex's storyline used to be one of my favourites, now I cringe at the sight of Claire or Bex on my screen, I want series 14 and 15, like they used to do back in the days when UKGold was actually UKGold!!

UKGold plays Casualty series 20 every weekday at 10am (and sometime in the middle of the night as a repeat as well)

We're about 8 episodes into Series 20, (all of which has Selena in, and a lot of Selena drama in as well) with For Better and for Worse, and as they are missing out the October Half-term special Casualty/Holby City crossover, next week they are skipping straight to Love and Duty on Tuesday and the Series will most likely (haven't taken bank holidays into consideration so this isn't a completely accurate date) end on the 2nd of April, and the 3rd of April will no doubt (knowing how LAME UKGold are at showing CLASSIC episodes of the show) see the beginning of Series 21, starting with the 2-parter Different Worlds, which is the one where they go to Cambodia, not sure if there's much Selena in those episodes or not... but there you have.

Or, they might do the sensible thing and start showing Series 14 and then 15 etc... gaaaaaawd that would make me so happy!!!!!

If that were true I still wouldn't be able to understand the logic in it... but it's not!

They're putting Columbus in the Casualty spot, but get this, they're then showing the SAME EPISODE of Columbus later that day at 3pm... THIS IS HOW DESPERATE THEY ARE TO ANNOY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're hired!

Seriously, You and I should get together and buy a channel! (OR just buy UKGold!)

OMG that would be my dream channel, and that more or less is what UKGold USED to be like!

Apologies, yes they have hit a nerve, I don't usually swear, hell I never swear, I just thought it might attract an incy bit of attention (of which I am now corrected, because it isn't)

I wouldn't mind so much if it was another show, but the thing with Holby/Casualty is... they don't have DVDs, so unless UKGold show the episodes we want, we have absolutely NO other way of watching them!

I don't understand UKGold's problem? And serious lack of communication... and plain logic?!

Yet again, after 3 weeks of Casualty being back (showing the last few episodes of s19 and first few episodes of s20 - AGAIN this summer!) They've taken it off... AGAIN! I looked ahead, to see if they might take the liberty of showing a more, hmm, what's the word..

GOLD season, and they've taken Casualty off altogether, now they're showing Columbus in it's place... don't get me wrong I don't mind Columbus, but there's no WAY I'm gonna watch it now!

All i want is my s14 and s15 of Casualty, why does that seem like I'm asking to win the lottery without ever getting struck by lightening?!

If that is so, why does it not say that on the UKGold schedule, or on my TV guide? I don't see New Tricks coming off the 10am slot for a while yet,

UKGold used to be excellent with Casualty - they would show it at 11am in the morning, and then repeat that episode at 5pm for those who are at school or work, they then took off the repeats which was a huge disappointment, and UKGold just plummetted from there on

They play s18-s20 lacking a system of approach on repeat and have done for about 2 years consequetively now, which I, personally, am xxxx well sick of. What I want to see is s14 and s15, but I'm asking too much, because recently they took Casualty off the air completely about a quarter of the way through s20 without any kind of warning and it hasn't returned since

It is my belief that Casualty will be returning within the next few weeks, but what episodes they're planning on showing is my main concern.

With due respect thumbolina, myself and Minnesota have both read the newest TV Schedule provided by this website.

Monday 17th September 2007:
10am - New Tricks
11am - Dallas
12pm - The Bill

Check yourself if you don't believe me [link]

The same goes for Tuesday the 18th,

So needless to worry about 5 episodes going missing, the new question is whether or not Holby City will be returning, and how many episodes will they have missed out by the time is does?

New Tricks remains in our Holby spot indefinitely as far as I can see.

But they're not carrying on, we get 5 episodes, then what looks like nothing again!

One thing I really hate about UKGold is silence - they just cannot be bothered to tell us what they're doing with Holby City and Casualty - what is the point in showing Holby City this week, only to take it off air again without warning?

And you tell us that Casualty will be returning in September, well it's September, so where is it?

We want our Hospital dramas back!

lol right you are - but as a British actress, having an interest in such shows is helpful towards my career, as I hope one day I will have the opportunity to star in them, everyone likes their own space sometimes, I need my space, and when I have it, i like to spend it watching Casualty and CSI, except that Casualty has been taken away from me, which is something I find very frustrating - and unnecessary!

I don't understand, did they delete my message already? i wasn't even insulting them I was just stating home truths about my wish for decent UK gold shows instead of all the US crap and I wasn't even mean about it and they delete my post already - isn't that a bit rude?!

What about Casualty? Will that be returning? If so, what series will you be showing? *Prays that it's series 14 or 15*

No luck, but who says nobody wants to watch them? Any fan of Casualty who isn't out on a weekday morning will more than happily sit and watch nostalgia, and many do. I can only speak for Casualty, but I have no doubt that if anyone likes a show, watching old episodes from their past, or seeing episodes before they started watching it is really interesting and entertaining to watch, and more importantly, what UKGold is all about!

By all means they can go and they can have their USTV Gold channel if that's what they really want to do, but don't go clogging up UKTV Gold with US shows because its a contradiction of the channel itself!!

Yano, a couple of weeks ago, they took Casualty off the air, they didn't actually tell us they were going to do that, we weren't at the end of a season or anything, with no prior warning, bang in the middle of series 20 (which I was actually starting to really enjoy, despite it not being a Gold series at all) just vanished into thin air one day, no explanation, and it hasn't returned since - what the HELL was that all about?!?!

Now it appears there are no channels in the world that show Casualty apart from BBC's new episode once a week - that's just great!

I'm not dissing everyone's favourites, as you said, a rerun of those shows can never go wrong, and they are perfect for UKGold, I don't have a problem with those shows, they have their own slots and they do a good job, they're classics - I have an issue with the timetabling, lack of communication, and apparent lack of hospital dramas hitting our screens currently - I've been going absolutely mad trying to point out how many people want to see series 14/15 of Casualty again, which is something any fan would want, seeing how it's NEVER gonna come out on DVD, making UKGold the only place possible to show it, and instead, they muck up the timetable, put Holby City on at graveyard 4 times a night in a mucked up order, then take it off altogether, THEN start Casualty half-way through a season that we've already seen 80 or 90 times this year, and then half-way through the next season they hack it, without warning, explanation or logic, and in its place, they calmly put Dr Who, which already has its own slot later on in the day!!!!!!

Where the hell is the logic in this?!!!
