The Bill

Angry I am afraid I have given up and no longer watch because I, too, am sick of wondering about Zain and Emma!!! I just stick to watching The Bill
on ITV now - that is when they condescend to show it what with all the sporting
events on at the moment and they knock off The Bill willy-nilly! I am very
very disappointed in UKGold! Ambercat.

Bleak House

Confused We had the first 8 episodes of Bleak House from February to March and now I see that episodes 14 and 15 are to be shown on Sunday, 27th April: whatever happened to episodes 9 to 13 ??!! I know I haven't
missed them because I have been religiously scanning the tv guides and I
did request a reminder as to when they would be on. Can anyone shed
any light on episodes 9 to 13, please?

Develish I have just given up completely on The Bill altogether - my faith and hope in UKTV Gold actually coming anywhere near up-to-date has fast
diminished and clearly all the exciting Zain Nadir episodes, particularly the
death of Honey Harman, are lost forever because after a further few weeks they will no doubt return to the late 1980s/early 1990s - ??who knows??
Come on UKTV Gold - listen to your viewers and do the decent thing!!!

Angry I could not agree more with Kayleigh - having nagged and nagged, we were just coming reasonably up-to-date and getting right in to the great
Zain episodes when, bang, right back at George Garfield and Polly Page again, again, again, again......... This time I have given up totally because
it is a complete waste of time. I have been taping The Bill episodes from
ITV now since April when most of the team seem to be there so I shall
start watching these tapes now and then just keep up with ITV - sorry but
my patience has been fully tried and tested to the extreme with UKTV who
insult viewers' intelligence! P.S. I, too, am a great fan of The Bill and
have watched it since the very first episode!! Frown

Confused Well - that's their story, I suppose, and they're sticking to it!
I, too, have contacted UK Gold personally before and got the same answer - that we have to wait for ITV to release them...... but if they must do this then I do wish they would pick a suitable place to stop, i.e. at least finish a particular case and not leave us with cliffhangers without any warning and/or any idea how long we must wait for reinstatement. I think I shall go mad if we have to go through the George Garfield/Dave Quinnan/Jenny/Polly Page saga again and the murder of John Boulton by Don Beech, etc., etc, - as you say, we pay for UK Gold and I really object to this although I must admit that I could watch the repeated repeats of Open All Hours until the cows come home!!! However, let's hope we don't have to wait for the cows to come home before The Bill gets back into its rightful slot!!

Angry Yes - why have yesterday's replies disappeared - and mine among them??!! Is it because they were the truth and the truth hurts? My Mother
and I sat through yesterday's 30 minute episodes of The Bill - and what rubbish: 9 years old - 1998!!! Do the powers-that-be really think we deserve rehashed episodes of Red Herrings, etc.? This has completely
ruined our evening's viewing (we record anything on during the day to watch
at night when we sit down). Please, please, please.........restore The Bill to
where it left off last Friday.........is anyone in authority actually reading these replies??!!

Angry I couldn't agree more with chukkawobbly - we have spent ages and ages catching up only to find ourselves right back in the days of Don Beech, Jim Carver and Jack Meadows (complete with hair)! Quite honestly, it is an insult to our intelligence and we have been left with a cliffhanger from last Friday night - heaven knows when we shall see these again! My 95 year old Mother and I (66) have been hooked on the stories and now we are left in the air - it just isn't good enough and I have e-mailed to complain bitterly.
Why do they do this to us - or has someone installed the wrong tapes??
