Message to UKTVGold authorities......

No luck, but who says nobody wants to watch them? Any fan of Casualty who isn't out on a weekday morning will more than happily sit and watch nostalgia, and many do. I can only speak for Casualty, but I have no doubt that if anyone likes a show, watching old episodes from their past, or seeing episodes before they started watching it is really interesting and entertaining to watch, and more importantly, what UKGold is all about!

By all means they can go and they can have their USTV Gold channel if that's what they really want to do, but don't go clogging up UKTV Gold with US shows because its a contradiction of the channel itself!!

Yano, a couple of weeks ago, they took Casualty off the air, they didn't actually tell us they were going to do that, we weren't at the end of a season or anything, with no prior warning, bang in the middle of series 20 (which I was actually starting to really enjoy, despite it not being a Gold series at all) just vanished into thin air one day, no explanation, and it hasn't returned since - what the HELL was that all about?!?!

Now it appears there are no channels in the world that show Casualty apart from BBC's new episode once a week - that's just great!

I'm not dissing everyone's favourites, as you said, a rerun of those shows can never go wrong, and they are perfect for UKGold, I don't have a problem with those shows, they have their own slots and they do a good job, they're classics - I have an issue with the timetabling, lack of communication, and apparent lack of hospital dramas hitting our screens currently - I've been going absolutely mad trying to point out how many people want to see series 14/15 of Casualty again, which is something any fan would want, seeing how it's NEVER gonna come out on DVD, making UKGold the only place possible to show it, and instead, they muck up the timetable, put Holby City on at graveyard 4 times a night in a mucked up order, then take it off altogether, THEN start Casualty half-way through a season that we've already seen 80 or 90 times this year, and then half-way through the next season they hack it, without warning, explanation or logic, and in its place, they calmly put Dr Who, which already has its own slot later on in the day!!!!!!

Where the hell is the logic in this?!!!

UK Gold is a bit dead and stale!

AMEN!

Mon 2 Jul 2007, 10.07PM

UK Gold is a bit dead and stale!

Been there - tried that, let's just face it, the only way to get them to listen to us is to stop watching the channel altogether and get everyone we know to do the same until some decent shows start appearing!!

Sun 1 Jul 2007, 10.14PM

UK Gold is a bit dead and stale!

stale is an understatement ukgold lost it's oomph when they tried to mess up the schedule!!!

Is is so much to ask that the programs that we've always loved are aired regularly as they used to be, and at the times we were already adjusted to?

Is it completely insane to desire older episodes of our favourite dramas on a channel called UK "GOLD"!?

Are you really earning more money from showing the same series of certain shows 5 or 6 times over before showing us the series' that we would actually like to see?!

Answer that UKGOLD!

Sun 1 Jul 2007, 10.10PM

Holby City

it's a simple question, is it coming back or isn't it?

and if it is, when?

SIMPLE!

Sun 1 Jul 2007, 10.09PM

Neighbours

why don't you just timer record?

that's what i do - well we have sky plus so i just set it to series record and all the episodes are just there whenever i wanna watch em - but before that i used to just set the timer record the night before!

Wed 13 Jun 2007, 7.47PM

Neighbours

Haha yea caught me out too! Much better though - at least they've got one thing right eh?!

Sat 2 Jun 2007, 5.43PM

Casualty

Aaaaaaah - so they managed to prove us wrong

they're not gonna bore us with all of series 19 again, just the last quart of it - June 11th they start with "In the Dark", and then they show us the episode before that... (don't ask me why!!!) and then they carry on with the series

well that's definitely different, this just gets worse and worse! god knows what they'll do after s19, probably go on to s20 if they're stupid enough!

nope not heard of ukgold - can't be a very popular channel!

UKTV REPORTED TO WATCHDOG

But who's counting eh?! Haha they deleted my post, they must have felt quite threatened by it! Com'n, if they had any real reason to delete my posts they'd have disabled my account by now!

Johncas - You have completely missed the point, we are not reporting UKGold to watchdog because of the laws they are breaking, but because of the scam they are pulling, claiming that UKGold is in fact a golden channel to show golden shows of the golden ages, when in fact they show last months repeats!

Take Casualty, yes we are all aware it is a 20 year old show, but the series which they are showing is definitely not 20 years old, as they are about to go on to show series 19 - A-flipping-GAIN!!!! We want to see older episodes of Casualty, like series 14/15, like they used to, when it was a good channel. And the same goes for shows like The Bill, and Neighbours, and Eastenders

Yes but while you may have missed one of the episodes of Only Fools which they repeat repetitively, most of the nation, and most of the world probably have, and doesn't mean that UKGold can keep their programming this way!

AMEN to the archives of 50s-90s, they don't show it anywhere, use the privelage wisely - NOT LIKE THIS! or else do just change the name of the channel to anything OTHER than UKTV Gold, coz you're defeating the object otherwise!

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

UKGold? Who are they again?

Sat 26 May 2007, 5.29PM

Casualty

Oh, I didn't consempate for the bank holiday weekend - series 19 starts Monday June 10th, Ties that Bind Us Part 1 - this is how predictable UKGold can be when it comes to Casualty, well let's see if they prove me wrong!

Sat 26 May 2007, 5.21PM

Casualty

What's the name of that channel I used to watch? oh yea, UKGOLD?!!!!

Sat 26 May 2007, 5.20PM

David UKTV

la la la UKGOLD?

Fri 18 May 2007, 9.31PM

David UKTV

Just bumping this topic up in wait of a reply...

Fri 18 May 2007, 9.24PM

Casualty

They will go straight on to Series 19 on 7th June starting with episode Ties that Bind us, according to my calculations. This series would then finish in the middle of August. Being someone who is completely sick of series 18 and 19 you can see why I am so desperate for change, because I know that there is no chance of me seeing a decent episode of Casualty at least until September, unless they decide not to show series 19, but to go back to series 14 or 15 as requested! I doubt they are ready yet to show series 20 - which means they will probably go back to series 18 and start the tedious process again! It's a never-ending loop people!

Fri 18 May 2007, 9.15PM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

I doubt they got that from looking at this board, so if they need to get a new license every time they want to show the same series - must it be driving them mad having to get the license for series 18 of Casualty over, and over and over again - when they could be doing just about anything else with their time?!

Wow so they're willing to take something off the TV due to poor audience numbers, yet not willing to put something on the TV that might just increase audience numbers - we have some logical people in this company.

Sat 12 May 2007, 4.55PM

David UKTV

Well if figures are going to drop that much, do we reckon that UKGold will pay attention to us by then, or before it gets to that point?

jules - take it as a compliment, if they delete our messages, it means that they must have read it, and seen it as a threat.

I am aware of many people's opinions of message boards, however my personal experience with message boards provides much more respected results, and as for e-mailing the department, you give me the e-mail address and I will do so, knowing UKGold's reputation, this won't get me anywhere either.

My experience tells me that if I want to get through to somebody, I need to make my point in everyway possible, message boards have more power than they let on, and the fact that DavidUKTV posts here regularly says a lot about the impact I could make.

Sat 12 May 2007, 4.47PM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

I do understand the restraints there are when it comes to showing a new series of a show, however I also know that the series that I have been petitioning for is not a new series, and there are no licensing issues associated with this series, as UKGold have shown it once before.

I'm not asking for the impossible, I'm asking them to make a logical decision, instead of repeating the same single series 5 times in a row. I do know what you're saying SamJ, but some of us do know what we're talking about.

What he said ^^

Thu 10 May 2007, 9.40PM

David UKTV

Jules makes a very good point, if not the primary point. With all other companies, channels or not, if you have a querie, complaint, question or suggestion, which you put forward via their website, be it through the message boards or not - 90% of the time you will get a response within the next few days.

Take five for example (sorry to repeat this example, but it's something I've had experience with), In the past, whenever I ask a question, or form a complaint or make a suggestion (which I promise you isn't that often) they get back to me within the next week everytime. AND if I'm not satisfied with that response, they will again reply to my feedback, it's a little thing we call communication.

I recently contacted the logitech website as there was a problem with my computer, they very politely and very quickly responded to my problem in less than 24 hours - offering a number of different suggestions - I was very impressed.

This is what is expected of these websites today, this website provides the option for the public to contact them and leave comments, therefore they are obliged to respond one way or another.

If the viewing figures are dropping, it may not be a noticeable amount right now, but who knows how much more it will drop, if the scattered attitude of the scheduling team continue?

Communication is key with any business, why do you think most business have adverts - to waste money, or to communicate with the customers? Well UKGold have been failing to do so, and that is what's frustrating us the most!

Thu 10 May 2007, 3.24PM

David UKTV

This was my initial thought, I'd had a running with UKgold and their scheduling before, and I did get a generic reply - However, this was at a time where there weren't many complaints against this channel. The current complaints ratio I've seen is huge - much bigger than any other website I've ever seen - EVEN channel 5 is better respected that UKGold at this current time.

I may not know specific viewing figures, but I do know that it is extremely unlikely that UKGold is as successful as it once was, and the more fans that come on here with a complaint the less people will actually have any kind of respect for this channel at all.

Who says I don't know what I'm talking about? If people want to know how much I know about channel scheduling, then why don't they (they, being the UKGold channel team) challenge me - or at least show me the figures which you have fixated your terrible decisions on!

Thu 10 May 2007, 10.35AM

The Bill

Oh dear I'm so confused! So the majority of you want new episodes of The Bill back after they mysteriously vanished?

And then a load more of you like the older seasons and want them to show more of those?

Either way make your mind up, I think we're all agreed on one thing, is that UKGold have got to start paying closer attention to their viewers instead of completely ignoring our opinions?

Sat 5 May 2007, 9.23PM

Neighbours

Ah, I thought I was the only one - thught I was going crazy, or that my dad had deleted episodes from SkyPlus

You see I don't have the energy to get up at those hours each morning to watch Neighbours, so I used my wondrous SkyPlus to put neighbours on series record, this ensures that every episode in the series on UKgold will be recorded so i can watch after work. Anyway, I have noticed that ocassionally I appear to have missed a very important episode, like a couple of weeks ago, Karl tells Izzy that Gus is psycho, and that episode ends on a cliffhanger. The next episode I see, and Gus has disappeared, they're changing the locks, and everyone knows he's a psycho - I've clearly missed something here!

don't muck things up ukgold - 1 episode can make all the difference! God and i happent o know about a certain season finale which I missed the last time round which I REALLY don't wanna get lost in all the mucked up timetabling!

so hey who watched today's episode? Flipping heck eh? I love Sindi so much, and never appreciated her enough first time around, OMG my heart stopped when Toadie didn't remember her and though she was Dee - I can't remember what happens next but I dread to think how it's all gonna pan out!

Right back to this - yea what's the logic in putting Eastenders in the middle? i didn't think it would effect me, but today I discovered that I am missing 1 of Friday's episodes, because SkyPlus recorded the same 1 twice - aah!! This wouldn't happen with any other channel!

Sat 5 May 2007, 9.15PM

David UKTV

I understand that - however for the last month at least, I think I HAVE been every post, it must be quite impossible for every single cry out (and it's not like I haven't been trying extremely hard to grab your attention) to not be seen. Surely you noticed that was outcry?

Yea, thanks for getting back to us that means an awful lot, so can you just let us know when we will get a response from the channel team?

Awesome, thanks!

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

Agreed - I never liked the Simon/Lara saga in the first place, only thing I did like was in Emotional Rescue (2) when she cries on Luke's shoulder - THAT's how well I know that series!

I have been assured that we have not been completely ignored, and something might, wait for it... ACTUALLY be done about our comments!!!

Just give it time - I will know more in the morning when the post is shown, much like this one.

Fri 4 May 2007, 11.46AM

David UKTV

thankyou, all we wanted was a reply!

Great thanks, how longn will it take to get a response from the channel team? Can you please speed that up for us? We've been waiting like a month for any kind of response!

Can you answer me one more thing? Seeing how this is your topic and everything! why have you been ignoring my posts for so long?

Look forward to hearing from you very very soon

Thu 3 May 2007, 7.09PM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

Yea right, they say this is a make-over, but they just put the same repeats of the same series they've been putting on for years - the only thing that's new is that they've stopped with all the good!!

It drives me crazy that UKGold is the only channel around with the rights to series 14/15 of Casualty, it's not likely to ever come on DVD (xxxx the BBC), and yet they choose to show repeats of the same series which any fan who bothers to watch it has taped now anyway, I found series 18 on e-bay a few weeks ago, and I can guarantee you it's all taped from UKGold, I can't tell you when though, because they've played it so many times! It's a terrible season anyway!

Glad to hear that they started listening about Dallas, you saying it took you a year? Well hopefully it won't take me that long - I really don't understand why they are being so stubborn about this - that's what's getting to me the most, it's more frustrating not hearing anything, than any other response they could possibly bring to us!

The most response I've got from them so far was:

"Thanks for your email. Unfortunately, we are only able to respond to
Message Board related issues."

Which I assure you, my issue is with this message board, and the poor moderation - when I say poor I mean, they think they have the right to delete innocent posts and yet don't feel it is their duty to justify anything that they do.

See the post I started named DavidUKTV, that's for direct questions to him, feel free to bump it with a comment, but I'm not resting until at LEAST that gets a reply!

Thu 3 May 2007, 6.58PM

The Bill

It's true, us Casualty fans are getting Nostalgic - you gotta look at the bigger picture, what does the majority of viewers want?

See now I honestly believe that viewers want anything but what UKGold are showing at the moment, not just in Casualty, or The Bill, but people clearly aren't happy - look at how many complaints there are around!

I for one intend to do something about it - they can delete my posts all they want (which they do), butwork out what you'd prefer, new Bill or old Bill, and then help me make TV better for the rest of us!

Thu 3 May 2007, 9.56AM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

Well I have no intention of giving up, my next step is to call them up, and if that brings no success, I'm coming down there - I have a thing about catching trains so I'm sure I'd enjoy myself!

I don't understand why they're ignoring us, what they think they will gain by doing so, that's what's getting to me the most, I don't even mind all that much if they didn't change the schedule - JUST SO LONG AS THEY GAVE US A JUSTIFYABLE REASON WHY!!!

And I think the fact that they don't, and yet are still unwilling to change it, is what's causing this absurd protest again them.

I never wanted to complain, or argue, or get as worked up as I have done, but they're behaviour has gotten to me so much that I now can't let go - i have what is known as the go-get-it streak - i want UKGold to reply, so one way or another I will make it happen!

I'm glad to know I'm not the first to feel this way Wink Stormcat Wink - but I really do hope I am the last, because to think that a year ago the same feeling of frustration was spreading through the forum and nothing was done to assure us really gets to me. Do they not understand that we are the people who actually watch their show?! (or used to, I gave up on watching UKGold when they started repeating series 18 of Casualty about 2 years ago), but I still keep a close eye on the schedule, in the hope that one day the good episodes will return!

Any viewer who has a still complain or comment to make about the UKGold make-over is sure to end up with the same frustating reaction as the rest of us, and from what I've seen that's got to be a LOT of viewers!

UKGold said themselves that most viewers only tune in to watch a particular show, and don't watch the channel as a general, well then they've got to give us SOMETHING to watch in the first place, if they want to try and convince us to watch other shows - tell me I'm wrong - I bet you can't!

It's such a shame, UKGold used to always be my favourite channel when I first got Sky, old episodes of holby City and Casualty, and Neighbours from 5 years back - how exciting!! I was estatic, but now it's just a channel that has the rights to the series of Casualty that I really want to see and refuses to ever show it!

Wed 2 May 2007, 8.31AM

The Bill

The way i see it is that they must have read your replies - they did delete them after all right?

This is getting you no-where, I went through the same thing with my Holby city and Casualty queries - so what I've done, is started a topic named "DavidUKTV" (he's the big boss guy), and put my comments and questions all in that topic - surely he can't ignore a topic with his name on it. And I've saved the ocnten which I posted, so that if it does get deleted I will just re-post it!

I recommend you put your questions about The Bill in there too, UKGold are really screwing at the moment and i won't rest until we are heard, if you scroll down a bit you'll find it, I only posted it yesterday, but I'll keep bumping it up so it stays high, the topic is named:

"DavidUKTV"

look forward to seeing your posts in there!

Tue 1 May 2007, 12.04PM

David UKTV

Yea, hello, hi! OK, I didn't know how else to get you to speak to me, so here is a whole topic just for you to talk in.

I joined this message board about two months ago, and I have to say, in that time I have not felt welcome. Not by the members, the members are lovely people and the fact that we have so much in common may have something to do with how well we get on. I have not felt welcome by the moderating team. I joined this message board, because I read a topic which made a very valid point, and one I agreed with. I wanted to make sure this point was heard by UKTV Gold, and respected, and considered, with feedback.

However, this point was ignored. I don't know why, So I repeated this point in other topics, assuming that this would speed up the response. Instead, not only was I ignored, but parts of my messages have been deleted.

After several complaints to the boards, I eventually got my first response, over a month after my first complaint! This told me that they could not respond to the question as it wasn't related to the message boards. I found this very frustrating, and then questioned why my messages are being deleted, to this I was told that they were innapropriate. And I'm afraid I am inclined to disagree. I believe that although some of my messages may have been slightly angry and harsh, not all the messages which were deleted were at all innapropriate. Which makes me wonder why they were deleted.

You see, sir, I am a very busy woman, with little free time, and yet every ounce of free time I get, I am currently spending on this board, trying anxiously to get a response. This may be my own choice, but I choose to do this because I have heard the voice of the viewers, and I know what they want, I beg that you take that into consideration, because this added stress on my life is not healthy.

I have actually considered applying for a job at UKtvGold for a while, I enjoy the shows on this channel, and programming and scheduling is something I have been particuarly interested in. However I feel that the atmosphere at UKGold can't be excellent, if the team aren't willing to take the time to listen to the viewers.

I understand that I have been a frustrating member of this site over the past couple of months, but surely you understand that had you just listened to me originally, I wouldn't have caused all this hassle. I ask that you will do me one favour, and listen now.

SmileIf you respond to this following paragraph I will be forever grateful, and I will leave you alone: Smile

Why are you showing Series 18 of Casualty again? We understand that you can't go past series 19 until series 21 has finished, at risk of catching up with the BBC, but I assure you that this was never our wish anyway. This is supposed to be a channel known as Gold, which implies that you take us back to the golden times of TV, not 2 years back. I ask, pray, beg, plead, that you will take into the consideration the possibility of showing us some golden episodes of Casualty once again, i.e, Series 14 and Series 15. You see, this, for me is when Casualty was best, and I understand that many agree. i have been keep track of the Casualty guide on UKGold for the last three years religiously. Yet over the last 2 years I have not been watching barely a single episode. The reason for this is that I have not only seen them all before, but I am sick of them. I can quote any episode of Series 17 or 18 with my eyes closed, because you've played them so many times. You used to take us back to series 15, when the other series had finished, and I used to want impatiently for that day to occur. So why show us series 18 and 19 again? If you're giong to show new episodes, surely that's what UKDrama is for? So think about it, Series 14 and 15?

And could you please keep us informed either way, whatever happened to Holby City, it just vanished one day, and next thing I know you're showing 4 episodes a night at about 2am? With no prior warning, and no logic to the order of episodes, why? Whatever you do to TV, it would be nice if you could tell us, tell us on the website, and tell us on the Telly, so that we don't have to to an A-Z listing every day to see if Holby City is back yet!

One last thing, and by far the most important - can you please please please please respond to this message. Tell us what you think, tell us why these programs are scheduled this way, and tell us what you're going to do about it, and if you're not going to do anything about it, fair enough, just tell us, and justify it!

I look forward to your reply DavidUKTV - thanks for reading that very long tedious message!

Sat 28 Apr 2007, 9.31PM

Holby City

lol they keep cutting parts of my messages out, I think it's really funny because it isn't gong to work!

I really don't wanna have to keep watching series 18 repeats for the rest of my life and i don't intend to, I wanna start watching Casualty again, so all I'm trying ot do is ask them if they could put on a different series for a change, but nooooooo they don't wanna hear that!

Sat 28 Apr 2007, 3.43PM

Holby City

What I want to know is why they are being so xxxx determined about refusing our advice - can they at least tell us that much?

Sat 28 Apr 2007, 3.39PM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

Tried that, as I say they don't care what we have to say - it's because we're right and they don't want to admit it I reckon!

Well there's no other explanation!

Fri 27 Apr 2007, 12.13PM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

Not gonna work, I'm not breaking any rules so you can't delete my posts!

All I'm doing is wondering why UKGold refuse to respond, I don't understand what it is they're so afraid of.

Our comments are logical and advice is good, if they agree then they should tell us that, and put it into action, and if they disagree, then they should tell us that and tell us why, it's called discussion - after all, this IS a discussion board

deleting every post I post is not going to get anyone anywhere!

Fri 27 Apr 2007, 11.26AM

Casualty

No I don't have that 1 sorry, will UKGold please respond to our posts before I scream!

Anyone got any idea when later series of Casualty are going to come out on DVD? I really want series 14 and 15!

Any ideas when UKGOld are gonna get their ect together and show us series 14 and 15? I guess we're still being ignored for having an opinion!

Mon 23 Apr 2007, 10.23PM

Casualty

what, so its ok to delete half my post but still choose to ignore us? that's just plain rude and insulting.. don't expect me to give up till I get some answers around here!

Mon 23 Apr 2007, 7.37PM

Casualty

lets face it guys... the only wy we're ever gonna get to see the series of Casualty that we want is if we wait 10-15 years for the DVD to come out! (yea... like THATS ever gonna happen!)

Sun 22 Apr 2007, 10.48PM

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

ukgold DO think we're stupid they think we'll actually carry on watching their channels after treating us with such patronism

WHEN they stop insulting us, they will realise that the only reason we are getting so worked up about this is because we want their channel to be good, so that everyone can benefit... who exactly do they expect to watch the channel in the first place, if the viewers themselves are so angry and unhappy?!

it's crazy, you'd think they're just brainless dummies the amount of consideration they put into programming! I've a right mind to apply for a job at UKGold, just so I can see what it is that goes on down there which is more important than trying to please the people who actually want to watch the channel

Sat 21 Apr 2007, 9.44PM

Casualty

well why would Uk Gold do something the viewers actually want when they won't bother replying to our messages!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I missed out on series 14 and really want to see it, and I want to see series 15 because let's face it it's the best season there is!

Sat 21 Apr 2007, 4.45PM

Holby City

don't hold your breath love uk gold are screwing us around on purpose

I don't know what they're tryin to do or why but they've been purposely ignoring all questions related to holby city and casualty scheduling so my best bet is to complain, or report it to the website, until they get sick of us, but me too, I'm dying to see Connie's first episode again, that was when holby city finally started to get good!

Sat 14 Apr 2007, 4.21PM

Holby City and Casualty

UKGold are PURPOSELY IGNORING US!!!!

I am going to keep bumping these topics up until they are no longer ignored, what we have to say is important, and they should be trying to please us, as their viewers, not purposely patronise us, and make us feel unwanted, and unimportant... I will not rest until action is taken, so that we get to watch decent TV once again!

I have been told that the schedulers have been informed of this topic and will respond... funny, because I don't see any response from them yet... do you?!

Whatever reason they have for purposely ignoring us in rude, disrespectful, and unnacceptable, so I shall bump this topic until something is done!

Casualty

I don't know, I mean yea series 20 at some point I would like to see, but I think if they were gonna do that they should put it on UKDrama, because the whole point of UKGold, is that they're supposed to show classics, like classic casualty, (series 14 and 15), I'm just xxxx sick of being in this endless timeloop

Hey if I start swearing dya reckon that they might actually take some notice of this topic?

Message to UKTVGold authorities......

AGREED! I have been trying to make myself heard for weeks now.. instead they just ignore me...

they think they know what's best for the show, but when they get a load of complaining viewers they can't be doing a very good job - I mean afterall, we're the ones they're trying to please!!!

They say that they can't take our advice seriously because they have to look at the 'bigger picture', what this means, is that they look at the statistics, and if enough people are watching each show... then there's no need to change anything!

What they don't understand is that the majority of fans are sick of watching the same series of the same shows over and over again, most only do it either to show their loyalty, or in the hope that maybe, just maybe, a different series might end up on our screens one day, but UKGold are too stubborn to let that happen!

Just like with The Bill, us Casualty fans are BEGGING for series 14 and 15 to be shown, we always assumed that eventually they would, but we too are now getting the series from 2 years ago, they wait till it catches up with today, and then they go back to 2 years ago again, its a neverending loop of the same episodes and we're all sick of it!!

When will they listen to the people who they should be trying to please in the first place?!!

Holby City and Casualty

DavidUKTV if you see this please for crying out loud read this message and respond!!!

Yea right! About a month ago, I was browing through my TV Guide, and found that there were 4 episodes of Holby City all being played in the middle of 1 night!!! Logical? I think not! But it gets less logical, when I discover that the 1st of these four episodes, is the car crash where Ben and Steve die, the next 3 episodes that night jump back about has a series, so Ben and Steve are alive and well, with both legs! I then find myself watching the car crash again about 3 weeks later! And oh my gosh I am SOOOO sick of watching Chrissie and Owen's marriage break-up, Cath go to court over the euthanasia, and Ben and Steve die... is this the only series in Holby City? I believe that there are currently 9 series' in this show... stpo showing the same xxxx 1 over and over again!!

And as for Casualty, I woke up this morning, looked at my watch, and it was 11:10 (well I have the week, off I gotta enjoy my sleep), and I thought, hey I believe Casualty will be on now (though these days that's hardly a guarantee), and dyano I sat through half of this morning episode, got incredibly bored of quoting Comfort's cries for help, and Tally's seductive attempt at getting Simon... I'm not doing that again, I'll find something more interesting to watch than a Casualty episode I've seen about 8 times over... no exaggeration! I really just want to see series 14 and series 15... is that so much to ask?!

Whatever happened to good TV? Good Casualty? Good UKGold?!!!! What does it take around here to be heard?!!!

Holby City and Casualty

OK so I'm clearly being ignored around here, what happened to Holby City? Dontya just miss the days when we could come home from school or work, and Holby City would be on, and then a good ol' Casualty episode straight after? Then they stopped doing that, and I thought, well it's OK, I can always tape the good episodes and watch them when I get the chance, but I clearly can't even do that anymore!

Holby City at 10, and Casualty at 11 is how it's been for years and years and years... why break the habit of a lifetime? To show more of The Bill? pah!

I don't understand why they started putting Holby City on at 2am, with no prior warning, had I not done an A-Z listing search for it, I wouldn't have found it at all!

But Holby City is just 1 of many things that is messed up about UKGold's new system... what happened to Casualty? You know, that classic hospital drama, which everybody loves... but we never get to appreciate it anymore... why? Because after 5 or 6 times over, watching series 18 and then 19, and then back to 18 again becomes maybe just a tad overplayed. I used to absolutely love watching Casualty, when they played older series, the ones that we don't get to see anywhere else, because the BBC is too stubborn to put them on DVD... if I have to look on the TV guide and find the downfall of Simon Kaminski, and his pathetic love affair with Lara, and then going on to Ellen's fake marriage to Abs 1 more time I might scream. I stopped watching Holby and Casualty a long time ago on UKGold, simply because I knew eventually they would go back and play the amazing series 14 and 15 again sometime soon, but now I don't believe it's ever gonna happen, TV is just gonna get worse and worse, and they'll eventually just stop showing Casualty altogether, like they did with Holby City!

I miss good TV!

Casualty

Well, the other day, I reported DavidUKTV's reply to this thread, stating that it didn't answer the question, and demanding for an answer,I think it's about time this channel listened to its viewers!! Cheeky

Casualty

Series 18 are you kidding me? You guys must have played this season nearly 6 times over in the last three years, which drives me crazy coz not only is it not a good season at all, the 3 episodes which I do like in it I already have on tape...

And no I'm not fussed about series 20, I only just watched it a year ago on the bbc... whatever happened to the wondrous series 15? The day I see Pheonix in my TV Guide will be the best day of my life (apart from maybe my wedding, the day I give birth, and the day I get promoted), because it will mean I'll FINALLY get to see the best series of Casualty ever aired!!

And I'm with lukerocks24 here, it's only common decency to reply when we've asked them to enough times! The fans are getting restless

Casualty

This is getting so ridiculous, they never tell us what they're up to, so i have to search the internet, and I find that Casualty just vanished from UK Gold altogether, and Holby City, 4 a night? Isn't that a LIL bit extreme? Roll Eyes

I understand that you're worried about catching up, to be honest I'm not fussed about series 20 anyway (well let's face it, it just gets worse from series 18 onwards...) But what I really want to see back on the screens is the awesome Series 15! You used to have a system where you would show 15, 16, 17, 18 then go back to 15 again! Sadly I always somehow missed the best parts of Series 15, even though it's the best 1! Confused

But Series 15 hasn't been on our screens now for nearly 2 years, and I've been waiting and waiting, what's a girl gotta do around here to get good TV?! Cheeky
