Can't remember now, possibly, although it seemed to be mainly set in her house and his place of work (office) and his snotty ex-wife was always intruding into their relationship.

Who is the greatest Doctor Who?
Catherine Tate was just great in this - what a pity she's not staying.

Hi Doz
I preferred Second Thoughts to this, there's always the possibility it will be on ITV3 again, they're re-running Rising Damp at the minute, so you never know.

Do you mean when Delboy sings it late at night outside the flats and starts a riot?
Sun 29 Jun 2008, 4.57PM
Probably not - but you can buy a copy off ebay, it's about £6/7.
Sun 30 Mar 2008, 1.46PM
Well, assuming Gold manage to keep episodes in the right order - it's on this Wednesday 9pm.
Mon 24 Mar 2008, 1.25PM
You're right, Geraldine McEwan just wasn't right and now Julia McKenzie is taking the role.... i should reserve judgement until i see how she does, but i don't think she's the right one either!

David Jason's earliest sitcom?
I vaguely remember that....well, the sharp intake of breath anyway!
I saw him in an episode of Randall & Hopkirk not long ago....so young.

Hi, sorry for the delay, trying to get my son off the pc is nearly impossible! He's going to sort it out for you tomorrow (13/02) and then i'll post the link for you to download it, my son said it would take too long to do it over messenger. I've pre-ordered the second series, it's due for release next month, so i'll do the same for that one as well.

My son's just come home - he's going to have a look for you. I'll let you know if he finds anything thing. Or, might be able to link it from our hard drive to web hosting and then you can download it to your desktop.

I'll check it out for you, it's a pity you can't PM on these boards because then i could send you a copy of Watching, i've got the first series and i've ordered the second but it isn't released until March.
You heard back from ITV3 very quickly, that's impressive!

No, not at all, my son used to sit and watch Keeping Up Appearances with me and he still likes to watch The Vicar of Dibley. When he was a lot younger, he loved to watch Poirot and Midsomer Murders! TBH i stopped watching soaps years ago, they are too depressing for me, i'd rather watch a good comedy.

I know, there's no continuity on the UKTV channels....and guess what, the one with Boycie's dog was on again today!
The one with Tony Angelino never fails to make me laugh though...mind you so does the one with the blow up dolls and when Del falls through the hatch in the wine bar!
I like the ones with Raquel and Cassandra in them although Uncle Albert is my favourite.

Some of my favourite Carry On films are: Carry On Screaming, Carry On Camping, Carry On Up The Khyber.
Goerge and Mildred, The Good Life, Drop The Dead Donkey, Rising Damp, Porridge, Yes Minister/Prime Minister, Coupling, Father Ted, dinnerladies, The IT Crowd, Colin's Sandwich, Spaced, Red Dwarf, The Mighty Boosh (Noel Fielding - yum yum!)
Some are old and some not and i could name many more, but these are just a few of the sort of shows i like to watch.
Yeah, let me know how you get on.

For the past couple of weeks it's been the same half dozen or so episodes over and over, if i see the one where they look after Boycie's dog listed once more....grr

Watching was a Granada programme, so probably not, more likely on ITV3. You can buy series 1 & 2 from Play.com for £7.99 each, this was one of ny favourite comedies, it would be great to see the whole lot again.

UKTV Gold 'could be rebranded'
There you go then, no need to show classic gold shows now, just more tripe.

I've just noticed that my previous post has been censored - how's that for irony!!
Sun 9 Dec 2007, 10.28PM
Ah right, sorry. I'll watch it next time it's on and see if i know, although you'll probably have found out by then!
Sun 9 Dec 2007, 3.19PM
It was the one where they make breakfast to striptease music.
I voted for the Shirley Bassey one.
Fri 7 Dec 2007, 6.14PM
I've already posted about this, it is so annoying, here's what i posted at the beginning of November:
Why do Gold etc censor harmless shows, like for example, dinnerladies? They cut a bit out where 'Bren' says, "you're Pinky, i'm Perky", why? What's so offensive about that? Or is it not PC? Paramount 2 bleeps out words but show a close up, full frontal nude shot in Armstrong & Miller, i'm not being a prude by the way and wasn't in the least offended, i just don't understand the logic. I feel insulted by their crass concern not to offend. They are bleeping, hacking and slicing away at inoffensive shows and even when they are shown at a much later time, we still have to put up with this nonsense.
Nobody replied - maybe no-one else is bothered about it except us!!

MORECAMBE & WISE GREATEST MOMENTS
I was expecting a run down of the clips, all shown in their entirety, but all we got was little bits of them, very disappointing.
Fri 7 Dec 2007, 6.07PM
Havers being shot was the end of series 3 - it's possible the next episode shown was the start of series 4 - although Drama have a habit of showing stuff out of sync. She's in it until the BBC end the Mysteries, which is series 6.

Tate in the Tardis with Tennant
I liked Catherine Tate in The Runaway Bride, the only thing i've seen her in before was Big Train. Obviously i had seen trailers for her show but decided it wasn't for me and didn't watch it, so i was a bit unsure of her role in Dr Who, but i thought she was good and it did make a nice change not to have someone going all googly eyes at the Doctor all time!
Wed 7 Nov 2007, 4.06PM
Two of my favourite pieces were shown - where she sings 'I can't do it' at the piano and the one where Julie Walters plays the elderly, deaf waitress who spills all that soup trying to get through those double doors. Great weekend.

HELP - My Virginia Creeper has died
Have the leaves turned red/orange/brown? If so, don't worry it is just getting ready to shed it's leaves for Winter. I have one of these and they are hardy, i trimmed it back in the Summer because it is rampant! I hope you have a lot of room for it, they take over very quickly and can be invasive if left to their own devices. You will be left with bare stems through Winter but come Spring, you will notice the new growth on the old stems and then you will get a lot of new stems and it seems to grow at a mile a minute!
Sun 4 Nov 2007, 6.06PM
Very annoying - most of the continuity announces are pre-recorded and are used over and over again - see Paramount 2 and Drama for this - someone was a little too eager to press the button and get away for some coffee!

Inspector Lynley Mysteries - pilot
I don't know if you have Virgin Media, but if so, you can watch the final two episodes on TV On Demand, i watched them last week.

WHY OH WHY DO WE NEED AMERICAN TELEVISION ON UKTV GOLD
I agree, they should start a new channel for the US stuff.

Petition for the return of Dallas! Sign here!
As much as i can't stand Dallas, UKTV Gold are so out of order to do this. They treat their viewers with contempt, can you imagine if a large supermarket chain treated their customers like this? people would vote with their feet and go elsewhere. Give them the backlash they deserve, they might actually start listening to you then.
Sat 20 Oct 2007, 12.25PM
What's this got to do with The Two Ronnies? good riddance to Dallas, it's a load of old rubbish.
Sat 20 Oct 2007, 12.19PM
Hi from U.S....Inspector Lynley
Hi, i can't help with the book as i haven't read any of them, but i do remember in the series, Helen is killed by mistake, by a Bosnian woman she was trying to help. The final two episodes were supposed to broadcast here a few weeks ago, but were postponed to a later time and there hasn't been any info as to when they will be shown. The BBc in it's 'wisdom' has decided it won't be making any more of the Lynley series, i hope it's picked up by a different channel.
Sun 7 Oct 2007, 6.21PM
I was saying this to my son last night, he loves The Two Ronnies, so i know he would love this as well. Fingers crossed
Tue 2 Oct 2007, 3.12PM
I'd love to see this again - much better than the US rubbish they insist on showing.

Sun 30 Sep 2007, 6.27PM
Respect!? They don't give a stuff about their viewers, if they did, programmes wouldn't get pulled before the end of a series. UKTV is hardly worth watching anymore, it's the same few programmes over and over.
Sun 30 Sep 2007, 6.23PM
The answer to one of the Bergerac questions was wrong as well. Crozier ended up as a Chief Superintendant, NOT Chief Inspector as said by UKTV Drama.
Mon 24 Sep 2007, 3.38PM
Hi, i don't know this myself, but i have asked the question for you on the IMDb boards, so fingers crossed
It would be lovely if someone could help, what lovely memories it brings back for you.
Fri 27 Jul 2007, 8.05PM
I've already had a mini rant about this prog, every ad break, give it a rest. I won't be watching and when the trailers for it do come on, i put the volume on mute. I'm sick of these American shows creeping onto UK channels, stick them all on one US channel please.
Wed 18 Jul 2007, 3.43PM
Just a mini rant about The New Adventures of Old Christine...NOOOOO!!!!
How many times must we have those rubbish trailers on....every ad break it seems, my TV goes straight on to mute when they appear, i have vowed never to watch it!
Wed 18 Jul 2007, 2.04PM
Hi Cleggscap
Yes, it is indeed the Internet Movie Database, when i've seen an old show on tv, I love looking on there just to see what they are doing now or if the people are still alive!!
Wed 18 Jul 2007, 1.58PM
"Listen God, you never answer my questions, so why should i answer yours?!"
^^^ That was just me being daft, as in, "When am i going to win the lottery God?!" or "Oh God, more money to spend on the car, Why God?!"
I think the RTD episodes are the weakest, Steven Moffatt on the other hand has written the best ones so far IMHO. Do you think they'll conjure up more regenerations from some where to keep the series going?
Mon 16 Jul 2007, 5.40PM
Because it's UKTV Drama and that's what they do, so do Gold, they're always showing things out of sequence. I watched the Vicar of Dibley a few weeks ago, one night Mrs Cropley died, the next night she was back in it again!!
Mon 16 Jul 2007, 5.27PM
Listen God, you never answer my questions, so why should i answer yours?!
To be honest, i don't know what JNT syndrome is, and although of a certain age, i've only watched the Ecclestone and Tennant series. So, not much help to you really!!

Yeah, i noticed someone had him dead and buried, poor old guy!!

What's the Music featured on the 'Rome' advert?
I haven't seen Rome, so not sure which piece it could be. The music from Gladiator is written by Lisa Gerrard and Hans Zimmer and is available from Play.com, £7.99 delivered.
Sun 15 Jul 2007, 10.54PM
According to the IMDB, Brian Wilde is still with us, but hasn't worked since LOTSW in 1997.

Although the cast didn't really change overnight - the series was being shown back to back and there wasn't a break between any of the series
