I agree with you Bell3. I have now nearly finished season 6, am up to where Pammy has left Bobby and katherine is scheming.
I only watched UK Gold for Dallas and like you, its a load of pap without it.
UK Gold is dare i say it....as interesting as watching paint dry???

You have answered before on this subject - I and everyone else is pleading with this question: Can UK TV please PLEEEASE buy the rights to more series of Dallas? I remember when it WAS indeed shown - in its entirity I believe - back in the late 1990's. I remember as my sister would record it and let me borrow the video tape, as I did not have digital or cable/sky tv to watch it. You had all the episodes then. You showed the one where Bobby got shot. You showed the one where Pam and Bobby get divorced. You showed the one where Sue Ellen drives her car when drunk with Mickey Trotter in it. You showed the one where April got shot. You showed the one where JR had a shotgun wedding to Cally. You showed the one where Miss Ellie got kidnapped by Jessica. I have watched these on YOUR TV station. They had a big following of viewers then. They have an even bigger one now. I emplore you (via David R of UKTV) to please buy the rest of the rights. You wont regret it. You just dont realise how many fans this show has and how many relive the good old days of this soap and love to go back and relive all those wonderful cliffhangers. I for one, am so eager to relive them.
PLEASE UK TV...Please dont take our Dallas away. Just look at the message boards. Check out Ultimate Dallas .com - which also has a hell of alot of messages imploring you to not remove this show, but to buy on and on.
You will not regret it, but rather will have FOR ONCE listened and answered YOUR viewers, YOUR salary payers (with little popularity and viewing audience - you would not really be on air as a station...would you not??).
I hope someone, DAVID R- UKTV GOLD???(help for us David??) - is listening.

Remember folks - the Ultimate Dallas website has lots and lots of folk just like us...all saying the same thing. They also have been pressing for Dallas's return.
I can wait - as i feel i have no choice but this channel should take note of its viewers demand and comment to them. No comment, is just plain ignorance.

I have posted many times on my beloved Dallas, you may have seen my posts. We do not need to panic - if you look at David UKTV 's post he has said that Dallas IS coming back in September. I have also heard the voice over in the adbreak/or at the end on Friday's show, say that it is taking a break in August for the school holiday. And that it will be back in September.
This weeks episodes are being shown early saturday and sunday morning - at about 8/9 am i think. You can check the listings on this website for sat and sunday. But they are showing to the end of the current series, we wont miss a thing, just have to wait until this weekend.
If you go to the Ultimate Dallas website, there are a couple of posts similar to this one on their message boards, check out the comments on it. We DO have a large loyal following and all of us and them will prevail!

Callie, you are right there. But are UK TV listening. It seems a waste of time to have this message board if they do not even listen to viewers who basically give them a job, at the end of the day.

Have I missed something here??? These are aussie soaps. Its not AUSTV Gold either.??? So please do not contradict what you yourself have quoted.
The fact is we all like different programmes, from different countries, you like your Sullivans and I like Dallas. There is room for them both. The main part of the name UK TV Gold is the "Gold" part meaning programmes that were classic and popular from years gone by.
So please, as I and others pay for the priviledge to view UK GOLD then maybe we should have it both ways.

Yes, I totally agree. I love Dallas and I have emailed UK gold and also put a post on this forum and the ultimate dallas forum. Any ideas why it has been axed??? They built the return up for so long, got all the fans into it and now have axed it mid way through the series. If you want an ally in your backlash about the august schedule. count me in!
and yes....plenty of Dr Who for all the greedy greedy Dr Who fans who not only have us inflicted with it on BBC but now on UK Gold as well. Greedy greedy greedy.

Some of the classic TV shows were not all British. I like Dallas being repeated as I was and still am a big fan. My show has now been axed it seems. There are plenty of UK"gold" programmes to watch. Some of us liked the US programmes. But it seems we have been given the boot as well. Enjoy Dr Who Omnibus....as this is what has replaced my show.

Sorry but i expect everyone will be clapping and cheering, but some of us LOVE Dallas. I am one of them. To axe it or move it for what??? Dr flaming Who!!!! It has just been on TV and is currently on TV and is just another example of how the BBC likes to plug its own shows to the absolute extreme.
Oh, and you can also buy Dr Who from just about everywhere as well, Dallas is not so easily available. It has even now an extremely loyal following, check out Ultimate Dallas website.
This is just not fair. You may not agree with me, but thats your own opinion and I respect it but UK GOLD>>>>WHY!!!!! ( they didnt even have the decency to end the current series...nope, we have been left with HALF a story!)
