thats a simple 1 to answer big unc, the pilot was longer than 30 mins (i think 45-50mins) so with G.O.L.D always using adverts they couldnt find time in the schedules to fit the pilot in, im sure it wil be shown eventually, just might have 2 wait.

So what did u think, now the 1st FOTSW has been shown and 4 most people thts either the 1st time they saw it or not seen it since it aired, personally i werent impressed, the episode seemed a bit slow and there was no real plot, everythink seemed like it was thrown 2gether, maybe if they had shown the pilot 1st then maybe it would hav let us hav a beta understanding of "Taller Exercises", lets just hope the rest of FOTSW improves, cause if it doesnt i wil b glad wen they finish.

I wouldnt worry 2 much about the list on play.com, we've had tht sort of list come out b4 and its been wrong, i wud just wait universal havent let us down b4 and i dont think they will this time.
I am pretty pleased i was right with my prediction tht it wud b about 6/7 months til the nxt release back in dec and i was right, looking at other titles available now (cause companys arent announcing 2 far in advance cause of crunch) i think it might b available in either aug/sept or oct.

somebody posted a couple of weeks back that maybe Jean Alexander had not appeared outside this year well going through my tape of this years series and noticed she was outside in the 2nd episode, so maybe she can film outside but RC has not had much chance to use her this year, which i think is wrong, but now isnt the time to say what i think RC has done wrong this year, but u all know i think Hobbo is not to blame, if the writer is not writing decent scripts then the cast can't get blood out of a stone.

Another fact for you Indy, in the classic days sometimes they never used real ale, when Compo used to swig a pint back in one, they use to use non-alcoholic drinks such as dandelion and burdock, this is evident in the series 12 (1990) episode roll on in the 2nd piub scene of the episode. Hope this info is an useful bit of info to
your summer wine encyclopedia.

Last of the Summer Wine

I got some fantastic news for you but sadly its not about the future of the show, more to do with the past, i hav mention in posts ages ago about the company Danbury Mint who produce collectable figurines, cottages and plates, well i recieved a letter 2day which i thought wud be the stuff i wudn't be interested in but to my amazement i was chuffed when the letter was about a BRAND NEW "Foggy" figurine which they have produced as a tribute to Brian Wilde, it is not available till july but if u ring the number on the website u can pre-order it and add the "greatest" third man to a wonderful collection already or u can order that along with the other items available in the collection.
What a wonderful tribute by Danbury Mint and the BBC to a wonderful character which kept us entertained for years and is sadly missed by all us fans, maybe the BBC do care about us fans and the show after all.

harbottle i just gone throught the 94 pages of listings and no new episodes up to 22nd june but hopefully we might get some soon especially the millenium special, the 2000 series and the Bill Owen tribute show seeing the 12th july is a sunday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Bill Owens passing and if they are shown maybe with no breaks for ads seeing the occasion we might be marking, but i feel the bbc should put schedule something for that day also but i doubt it.

yeah i know grumpy i've had bigger rants thn that and they got removed, the one where i have a go at roy clarke and a few others on here for being so blinkered and blaming russ abbot, he has not killed the show his character is ok and get another character in to replace entwistle and the show could continue forever.

Last of the Summer Wine

I disagree with all of you on this one topic, yes i know Roy Clarke has written every episode of our show but i think there is people out who can write the show, and ever since i sent him a script of an episode and haven't even had the decency of a reply from him i have lost a lot of my respect and faith in him, yes he has created some wonderful moments and coped with crisises in the show with writing out compo and always finding new characters but i feel that the future of summer wine is hanging by a thread and maybe the background work (writer, producer/director) needs fresh blood in and can get an on-screen team together to get the show back to the show it once was, yes LOTSW is up there with all the british classic tv shows from doctor who to eastenders, only fools and horses to sooty it is up there the the creme de la creme of television but if it carrys on how it going it will be doctor who from the 80's all over again and the show doesn't deserve that.
I know someone suggested actors for the show well i think we need names (and good actors/actresses) to get us some better viewing figures i.e. if carol vorderman came into the show we wud get all her countdown fans and thats another million before u look at other names, i think peter davison and colin baker should be recruited with the former going into the trio and the latter as a support character, i think we need a new marina cause jean fergusson has been showing her age for the last few years and that wud mean a new howard but keep robert fyfe as the wesley/smiler support to the trio, howard has bags of potental in the show, i think that the cafe shud become the focal point of the show again which means either crusher and his partner (whoever this might be) shud take over or have crushers son or daughter take over with their partner and keep it in ivy's family, there are plenty more ideas for the show but i fear the BBC won't let us have anymore summer wine but i hope i am wrong on that one.

Till the next time i want to voice my opinion.

Last of the Summer Wine

If u ever watched the bill owen tribute show in 2000 then u will know this and in the two books bright and ross wrote, obviously u aren't a die hard summer wine fan like sum of us eccles, anyway this is old news, i watched points of view and no news about the future of the show but the episode 2day was the funniest in the series so far just hope the rest of the series is funny and the show is recommisioned for years to come, but entwistle needs to be replaced and moved back to the "Wesley" driver character and we need the next generation "clegg" character but i don't think Morton cud fill that role we need another well known actor in the show but i think we need 5-6 new characters to bring the show back to the classic years, but we never know what is round the corner but i think there is at least one spin-off that cud come out the show, we can't let this show die and need it to continue in some form or other.
Till the next time i have some point of interest.

Last of the Summer Wine

I will defend Last of the Summer Wine to the end of time itself, it never gets the credit it deserves for ultimatly one of the BBC's and British best programmes, it is up there with doctor who, eastenders, coronation street etc, but i have to be honest about this series so far when i saw the special and episode 1 down in teddington studios in november i thought the new era could work, but after watching now i feel there are a few bits of dead wood in the show which need to be removed or moved aside i.e. Marina is showing her age now and would be better if a younger actress took on a new marina role and move jean furgusson to the libary or aunties shop. I also feel that Burt Kwouk is the weak link in the trio, entwistle is a good supporting character but not a trio man and also he is not as mobile as Abbot or Murphy which is obvious from the episodes. Russ Abbot could work as Hobbo but he needs to be widened as a character (not fatter just not his mother storylines) if those of u can remember Foggy at first (I can't i weren't born till 13 years l8r) he probably seemed a bit like how u r percieving Hobbo now (a bit odd, his character won't work, bring back blaimire etc) and he is now remembered as the greatest third man ever R.I.P Brian Wilde, just give Abbot a chance he can only create what Roy Clarke has written. the next couple of paragraphs u might not be happy with but it is my opinion and that is what the forum is for, even though she has had more this year than the last couple of series it is obvious that Jane Freeman is stuggling to walk without her stick (look @ the pics of here arriving @ kathy staff's funeral) and maybe she needs to be moved just 2 coffee scenes with the ladies or just sitting down scenes, so the obvious choice is to try to bring crusher back or have some family (maybe crusher son/daughter and their partner) take over the cafe and have the same atmosphere as the john comer era in the cafe.
I know he has written every episode of our show but we have 2 admit Roy Clarke can't write the show forever, he is 79 now so hopefully he could write for @ least another 20 years but we don't know what the future holds, from the dialogue he writes it comes across he is starting to get fed up and maybe we need a fan of the show (a very passionate fan who bleeds summer wine and not some BBC writer who writes the BBC3 comedy rubbish and hates summer wine) who can write to reinvigerate the show to how it was in the golden years and maybe let Roy only write 3 or 4 of the episodes a year to make them top quality scripts.
I would love to see the show outlive us all, but i have my doubts to how much wine is left in the BBC bottle.

Compo, Foggy and Clegg.

P.S. If u want me to expand on what changes i think are needed i would be happy to post them.

A couple of points, firstly the side cover of 13 & 14 is on movie mail online and the back cover is now on zavvi and tesco which comfirms the content as the first two foggy series and the xmas specials, secondly with grumpy unc's comment below I thought this time last year we only knew about the release and not the episodes and the only reason we knew the episodes is becuase there had been no confusion over series numbers and we only was guessing about "all mod conned", grumpy also says about no future releases, well you have to admit we ahve had a bumper crop of Summer Wine this year and personally think it will be 6-12 months before the next release, finally, I take no one else off this forum was at Teddington over the weekend to watch the recording of the laughter for the next series of LOTSW...

About Blaimire's house in the pilot he left his ladnlady's house so we saw the gate and also in the first series the photo episode we see the same gate again in the opening credits, regarding marina's mother she has aslo been mentioned in a series 15 episode i think it was the concerto for solo bicycle because she's chasing after smiler but with Marina obviously older now we must assume her mother died.

Back to the next dvd and you might want to read this post big unc, after 4 e-mails to 2entertain I have now been given a phone number for universal and will try them early next week as soon as i know anything will post on here, seen the updated cover which is on amazon, play, zavvi, woolworths that I have looked at but not hmv, the thing that annoys me about the cover is that it seems they have squashed Foggy's face in, they should have used the other picture with that background but when opened larger picture in play & opened 11 & 12 the 13 & 14 is slightly smaller like on old vhs box not the size of dvd covers so might have to be expanded slightly, the other thing that is slighlty annoying is that the name are not in alphabetical order.

As said above will phone universal next week so any questions you want to ask them post on here and if not too silly will ask them.

CFC here again, got a couple of answers on names or surnames of characters, I am certain Sid and Ivy's surname is Kildaire due to the series 6 episode "A Bicycle Made for Three", when in the new white cafe Compo says it's Dr Kildaire and sister Wally when Sid is carving the joint, I might be wrong but it's the nearest we've ever got to an answer.
Back to some more of the oddities, with edie and wesley in the shed remember that Wes only came when she shouted and didn't do here hyacinth impression (or is it hyacinth doing here edie impression cause edie was on screen first) and they always say that the yorkshire woman is a powerfull lass, maybe edie was in the voice?
Wanna throw in a couple more oddities into the equation - did Foggy live in a cardboard box becasue I don't think we ever saw his house and also where did seymour liv in his final 2 series?

Till next time...

Last of the Summer Wine

Hi there Compo, Foggy and Clegg back on the scene, I did know about the new home of our forum but have not had the free time to post, but looking at recent posts before and after the change, I just want to mention a couple of things - Compo's first name is William, it has been mentioned in a couple of episodes, the ones that spring to my mind is the series 2 episode where the neighbour is moving to oz and Compo says he carved W.S (Willy Simonite) into the wood where they meet the lollipop man and also in the episode "The Last Surviving Maurice Chevaliuer Impression" in series 12 in old money (hopefully series 13 on dvd) where Gordon Kaye's character announces Compo as Mr William Simmonite, can't think of any other episodes of the top of my head but don't need to mention it every episode, Foggy's first name I think is Walter but in the Golf episode in series 3 Clegg says Oliver because one box has C.O.D for Coporal Dewhurst but I think has mention his name in another couple of episodes but all internet references to Foggy say Walter "Foggy" Dewhurst.

Have had no luck trying to find any info from universal or anyone else about series 13 & 14 DVD but am still trying and if here anything will post on here straight away.

Now have been doing some research into the shows where the BBC record the laughter for the show and this year they are in November at Teddington Studios, that is all I know but I am sure if you ring the studio they will help you (for those of you who don't know Teddington is in London), I know this info because a friend of a friend is going down to one of the shows but they can't remember how they went about getting the tickets because they enquired about 6 months ago.

Finally before I finish I just would like to make one request about this forum now it has been re-branded, can we just keep the comments about our favourite TV show and not all this Latin or fig roll rubbish, all I want from this forum is info, rumours etc. about Last of the Summer Wine.

Till next time...

Hi there Compo, Foggy and Clegg back again, just got the series 11 & 12 dvd this morning and just to let you know the two series on is the final two seymour series + x-mas specials and the bit on uktv that jumps on the "gough and jessie" episode doesn't on the disc as soon as watched all eps will post any edits etc.
Any news on the 13 & 14 dvd episodes i suspect it will be the first two foggy series but the fake cover on the websites is misleading.

Last of the Summer Wine

You asked about the dvd releases bigunc well woolworths have now got the back cover of 11 & 12 which is showing the episodes we expected (final 2 seymour series) but here is where it gets tricky, amazon is showing a 13 & 14 cover which is obviously a fake (like the 11 & 12 that was on play.com for 2-3 months) but has seymour and not foggy on the cover, i have e-mailed 2entertain to clarify the episodes, release date & any future DVD releases and of course will post on here when I get a reply.

On the subject of the laughter, they still show the episodes to an audience like in the documentary, next year's series is to be shown some time in november, I know this because just before i went into hospital i managed to get a seat and should be getting the ticket any day now, unless they get me to sign an official secrets act thingy, i will let you know about any eps or characters. I don't know if there are any seats left best to e-mail the bbc box office and they should put you on the right track.

Last of the Summer Wine

Hi there Compo, Foggy and Clegg here, sorry about not posting over the last couple of months I have been in hospital but am a lot better now, have looked at the comments about series 29 and can see where people are coming from the endless amount of guest stars is annoying but with an ageing cast it has to be done, however I believe the best episodes of the series was the first 3 and of course one of them had no guest stars in so the series could carry on without guest stars but might have to go back down to 6 episodes per series which they won't do so for the time being let's not offend the guest stars for coming into a difficult situation.

back to the latest DVD releases play.com is now showing a revised 11 & 12 cover which looks genuine enough to me but would rather wait until on zavvi who always seem to get content and cover right, but the most important news today Sunday 10th August is that we Summer Wine fans are getting the perfect late x-mas present series 13 & 14 which will obviously include "Return of the Warrior" will be out on 26th December and I for one can't wait, that release date is on amazon, zavvi & tesco but not yet on hmv **or** sendit.com but what a christmas present for us eh.

Just before I finish just want to say that tonights episode is on early at 5:30 due to olympics so don't miss out.

On a completely different topic to the DVD releases, did Brian Wilde ever recieve the lifetime achievement award at the NTA awards, if yes what year and if not don't you think that it would be a nice touch for our Foggy to get the award this year because personally I think this would be the last chance for Brian to get the worldwide credit he deserves for what he did, not just for Summer Wine but also or comedy in general and also would be one way to get a tv tribute because they would go over his career and also I didn't like the way the BAFTA death part was done a few weeks back.
SO COME ON SUMMER WINE, PORRIDGE AND COMEDY FANS, CONTACT THE NTA AWARDS AND RECOMMEND BRIAN FOR THE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.

I know it's on the box but next to it it is Saying Michael Aldridge and the box still has TBC written on it but I am 100% certain that eventually will have Michael Aldridge and not Brian Wilde on.

Last of the Summer Wine

Just want to say it now looks like that 11 & 12 DVD will be released on 29th of september after play.com changed december to september and have changed Brian Wilde to Michael Aldridge so looks like at a guess we will get final two series with seymour and not seymour's final series and Foggy's returning series but no news on amazon, zavvi, BBC shop or hmv yet but eventually i think they will catch up, and before you bombard this forum with complaints just remeber universal have not let us down before and I don't think they will this time.

Last of the Summer Wine

I believe that It was transmitted in 1987 because the VHS releases have got 87 as transmission dates and also the episodes at the end has roman numerals at 86 which means even if was finished on the 3rd (which is impossible becuase of the live showing) to be shown on the 4th not enough time, also Uncle of the Bride has 85 in numerals which was the year it was produced, so to put it into one sentence - was produced during 86 but shown in 1987.
Get's even more confusing with the DVD releases, now amazon are showing a vintage 1977 release for september the 9th but that has already been released in the series 3 & 4 release, now I am really confused.

Last of the Summer Wine

Just to say have watched the episodes on 9 & 10 boxset and to my knowledge of summer wine (which is very good) there are no edits of episodes therefore the "for contractual reasons certain edits have been made" is obviously referring to the 9 & 10 title instead of series 9, if I am wrong about the edits please post on here.

Last of the Summer Wine

Correct BigUnc, have now gone and swaped DVD and so far no problems with disc 1 but have not got around to disc 2 yet but hope to watch by tomorrow night now (was hoping to watch all day today) and if any problems i.e. edits will let you know, also bigunc referring to your post on that edit label, there is a couple of lines saying "for contractual reasons certain edits have been made" on the 9 & 10 box in the same place as on the 1 & 2 box.
Just wondered has anybody else got the DVD yet and finally when I went to get the DVD the shop had a whole shelf of LOTSW DVD's, I know where I am going to get 11 & 12, 13 & 14 DVD's (especially if they are out on a bank holiday).

Last of the Summer Wine

So Spelt was it guess work with your 11, 12 ,13 & 14 prediction or did you know about them, also was looking back on previous posts and some said had paid extra to get it early just wondered had they got it before the 5th and would like to say to that person I told you so because I did warn people not to buy over internet because of bank holiday.
I'm sorry to say that i have had no luck in geting answers to 9 & 10 boxset, will reluctantly have to accept this but the likeliest reason is that series 9 was basically the length of two old series and that way can get all 3 specials onto the boxset because on other universal DVDs one series has on x-mas special and also they don't have to put Seymour & Foggy on the 11 & 12 box set or pay there families two sets of royaltie fees (they must be tighter than FoggyBig Grin).
Finally has anyone any more information on the 11 & 12, 13 & 14 releases, my best efforts have found posssible release date of 11 & 12 at 29th September so a random guess is that 13 & 14 will be out around December, January time, we should all speak to universal to try to speed things up.

Spelt001 was just wondering you posted your predictions for 11, 12, 13 & 14, did you know about these when you posted and if you knew, how? Do you work for BBC or universal, can you give us more answers such as why 9 & 10 is just 9, why there are contractlal edits in 1 & 2, 7 & 8 also is there any edits on the 9 & 10 DVD (except for the obvious one) or what is to come in future DVD releases?

Was looking on a search engine today for more info of the next 2 releases, 13 & 14 there was no info but one website was saying 11 & 12 will be out 29th september.

Thanks for the info porgie, don't think i will be moving to the states but interesting to know how our favourite show is treated elsewhere (disrespectfully) but am thinking of getting multi region DVD player so can get and watch region 1 DVD's so would like to know what is the 90 minute special on that box set not the Getting Sam Home one the other one e.g. who is in it (Foggy, Seymour, Truly or Blamire) and most importantly what is the episode title.
Also, Victor I mean grumpy uncle to my knowledge there is two books of getting sam home one with blamire and one with foggy, two chroincle books one gala week and the other called the moonbather, there is also two books from 2000 and 2003 about the show's history and 2 about country life in Yorkshire, hope this helps. Have you any updates about your quest for answers on 9 & 10, personally I haven't had the time yet but will try some time this week.
Just before I finish, was on wikipedia getting above episodes and link for episode guide is saying as of 23 may 2008, possible date for the new series perhaps?

BigUnc I am also trying to get some answers about the box set I suggest trying universal but there is no number on the website so a phone call to 118118 is in order, will post if I get any news and don't worry when I get through I will ask about when the next 4 series will be coming out, sooner rather than later hopefully.
Finally BigUnc did you ask the BBC when the next series (29 or 30 depending on if you go by TV series or DVD series) will be hitting our screens.

Last of the Summer Wine

Just another quick post, BBC are up to date with the DVD's now showing 9 & 10 available for pre - order but as above if want for the 5th don't order online, it's may day bank hoilday so no post.
Porgie - if you get LOTSW only once a week in USA how does the format go, and what series are you on and do you get the x-mas or new year specials?
BigUnc - Have you tried the Trades Description people because I have changed my mind and this box set should say only series 9.
Finally, sorry BigUnc and grumpy uncle for those accusations should of realised UKTV removed and once again sorry.

Back to the 9 & 10 box set tesco and zavvi are now showing the back cover.

Last of the Summer Wine

Porgie, Sid and Wally were referred to in the 1988 special "crums", Blamire was mentioned about leaving in "the man from oswestry" and Seymour left on screen in "return of the warrior", Wesley and Edie are referred to a lot in UK series 27 & 28 but Eli has had no mention and probaly won't. Hope this helps.

Last of the Summer Wine

Just want to say, IF YOU WANT 9 & 10 ON THE RELEASE DATE DON'T ORDER ONLINE BECAUSE THE 5th IS MAY DAY BANK HOLIDAY AND THERE IS NO POST SO GO TO A SHOP AND GET IT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY!
BigUnc if you want to contact the Trades Description Act might be an idea but doubt they can do anything being so close to the release date and you only need to speek to some teenager who doesn't give a monkeys about summer wine and it will fall on deaf ears.
grumpy uncle BBC shop is now showing 7 & 8 but is saying out of stock but thats life but BBC should be up to date with 9 & 10 (UK 9) by june-ish.
Finally I hope UKTV Drama actually comment about Brian wilde when Return of the Warrior is shown on the 20th and 21st because most fans think that it is one of the best episodes during Brian Wilde's time in the show and perhaps even in the whole of the show's history becuase every fan must think that Foggy is the greatest ever third man.

Last of the Summer Wine

Answer this BigUnc why is the box clearly saying series (now the artwork TBC has been removed) and only two websites have "season" not "series" and one of them (Zavvi) has seasons on all of the releaes, I think you are being really pedantic, at least they are releasing another DVD they could have stoped at series 7 & 8.
Personally, I think the reason series 9 has been seperated is so they don't have to pay the two sets of 'third men' families royalties for the box set but they could call this one just 9 but it will ghet sorted out eventually, as I say just be grateful there's another DVD, as I said in another topic it would be nice to get UK series 12 on DVD ASAP, but will probably be another year 18 months but could be speeded up if we contact universal by e-mail or phone or even the BBC.
If you want to get your very own memory of Last of the Summer Wine go to a company called Danbury Mint and look at there Last of the Summer Wine page.

Compo, Foggy and Clegg.

P.S. Dont remove this post BigUnc or Grumpy Uncle because I know that one of you took the credit for the 9 & 10 episodes when I put you on the Right tracks and one of you actually deleted the post.

Last of the Summer Wine

Once again we have to say mourn another Summer Wine actor and in this case the best known and best loved third man in Brian Wilde or Foggy Dewhurst as we know him, in my opinion his greatest time in the show was when he was in form the second time between 1990-1997 because I grew up with the episodes and the actor meant a lot to me, I would like to say that all the papers did give Brian a nice write up and did not lean towards porridge and kept with Summer Wine which was the greatest character he played, I must also say that Peter Sallis was looking well when the BBC interviewed him and also I have some more sad news, Stefan Paczai (the designer on the show) has died it was on one of the websites I was looking at about Brian Wilde and there were a couple of lines it said his funeral was a couple of weeks ago and he worked on Summer Wine to his death, on a sort-of happier note series 9 & 10 is not long from release and was wondering if anyone had any news about the episodes including specials on the box set and now I would like to ask you all a favour, would you all mind contacting universal-playback to suggest bringing series 11 & 12 out quickly in memory to Brian Wilde, also I thought it nice that the first two episodes of series 7 was dedicated to his memory on UKTV Drama the day and day after he died and the x-mas special of porridge on UKTV Gold over the weekend was also dedicated to his memory.
Also, does anyone know if the BBC are doing a special tribute to Brian or not even if it is just an hour of two shows of Last of the Summer Wine and Porridge, does anyone know when series 29 is due to start because by my reckoning on average the new series starts about a year and 6 days after the 1st episode of the last series so 29 should start in june/july time.
Finally, do you think it would be a good idea for Roy Clarke to write Foggy out in an episode like at the end of series 9 with a similar plot to the episode "When You Get a Good Bite, Yorkshire Tastes Terrible".
Farewell Foggy, you'll be missed. Cry

Last of the Summer Wine

I looked on wikipedia but couldnt find the 9 & 10 info but it would make sense, the last two releases have had three specials on and if the above three are on 9 & 10 then when 11 & 12 comes out we will have "Crums", What's Santa Brought Nora Batty Then" and "Barry's Christmas" (which at the time was unnamed and of course the changing of Seymour back to Foggy, if anyone from playback is reading HURRY UP WITH RELASING SERIES 11 & 12 because personaaly series 12 was and probably is one of if not the funniest series to date but last series came close.

Fri 14 Mar 2008, 6.12AM

Last of the Summer Wine

I think you are forgeting that series 10 was only six episodes and crums was the X-mas special, what i expect we will get on 9-10 DVD is Uncle of the Bride at the start because of Seymour's intro, then all episodes in series 9 and 10 split over two discs and then the three remaining episodes which were x-mas special on another disc, just like the las two and it has worked out well, but i think we should contact universal about the episode guide, if enough of us e-mail one of us should get a reply.

Forgot to say the scenes I lost on the discs are Crusher's first scene in 'The Loxley Lozenge' and Pearl's first scene in the Cafe in 'Catching Digby's Donkey'

Sat 8 Mar 2008, 11.35AM

Last of the Summer Wine

BigUnc & Flyinghaggis i think you both are right but i think it would be easier for universal to put series 9 in one boxset because the amount of episodes in the series and put the 3 specials 'Uncle of the Bride' 'Merry Christmas, Father Christmas' and 'Big Day at Dream Acres' in the boxset and put 10 and 11 on a boxset and then 12 and 13 and so on and so on, I understand why they have put 9 and 10 together because of Michael Aldridge's 5 minute appearance in 'Return of the Warrior' at the start of series 12 and so they will put 11 and 12 and there should be Compo, Clegg, Seymour and Foggy on the box when it comes out (I don't know when 11 and 12 will come out I am just guessing), what i suggest we do is contact universal about changing series 9 and 10 to just 9 and specials because they could get more money out of us, also just finished watching 7 and 8, does anybody else notice we lose and scene in 'Catching Digby's Donkey' and 'The Loxley Lozenge' but gain a scene which isn't on drama or gold in 'Who's Looking After the Cafe Then?'where Foggy puts the cups out and Compo is carrying the box of crisps?
P.S. Merry Christmas, Father Christmas is on youtube but it is very poor quality.

Does anyone know the episodes on series 9 & 10 DVD because i don't trust Play.com's list, there must be Uncle of the Bride, When You Get a Good Bite, Yorkshire Tastes Terrible and Merry Christmas, Father Christmas on there?
