people have been saying what you have said for months and sadly no body takes any noticed. every once in a while they fling in a "new" show thinking noone will notice that they are showing the same programs over and over again. goodnight sweetheart is actually being shown on ITV3 @ moment and like u quite rightly state jonathon creek should be on alibi. come on gold get ur act together and give us viewers what we want

well said. although i doubt anybody actually works there and all the programmes are just on 1 big loop and every few months or so someone goes in to change the programmes around thinking no one will notice.

Obviously nobody at UKgold or whatever they are calling themselves these days takes any notice of what is said on the message boards. Every now and again they will chuck in a "new" programme but they still show the same shows in between particularly at weekends ie the movie they show on Friday night is then shown saturday and sunday and shows they showed earlier in the week are shown umpteen times at the weekend. isnt that what the +1 channel if for. They should show the programme once and if u miss it tough. they really need to sort themselves out they have numerous channels but still put likes of Jonathon creek on gold which should be on alibi.

Come on gold give the viewers what they want and show some of the classics which are rotting away in the bbc archives and if there is nothing in their archives worth watching then try ITV etc they had some classic shows in the past and they get confined to the archives never to be seen again.

is this what we pay out licence fee of nearly £150 a year for. they should be done under the trades description act for calling this "entertainment"

Bread is a classic sit com from the 80s. Gold did show the entire show a few yrs back then it went onto what is now alibi. The first 4 series were released on dvd but not the rest. come on gold show the rest and dont let a classic program go to waste.

Why should they change the habit of a lifetime. When the channel "changed" they flung in a few "new" programmes but now I see they have reverted back to the norm of showing the same programmes and episodes day in day out. This weekend we have to endure another vicar of dibley weekend which was only done 2 weeks ago. Cant u tell the BBC are in charge. Its so annoying that you watch a series then a few days down the line it reverts back to episodes already shown a day or two before. For christ sake why dont they listen to what the viewing public want. Like minx3 says there is a vast store of programmes/episodes that can be shown. Give us what we pay for. It wouldnt be too bad if these "weekends" were episodes not seen for ages but is it really necessary to repeat the same ones throughout the day - isnt that what the +1 channel is for????. Perhaps they should change the announcement before and after programmes to "made by the BBC and forced upon you by GOLD"

can G.O.L.D and Watch get any worse? All the channel have done have wrapped up the same programmes and stuck a pretty bow on the top thinking the viewers wouldnt notice. Considering its a "new" channel why not put some "new" programmes on it instead of continual repeats of the same god xxxx programmes. Last nite was too much to bear not only did they show the top 40 moments from the vicar of dibley again for the umpteenth time, not half an hour after it had finished it was on again (for this reason isnt that what the +1 channel is for) Also what is with the teleshopping between 3 and 6am??? Is it just an excuse so the BBC can keep putting the licence fee up or are they controlling the channel considering following every programme we are reminded it was made for them. Listen to what the viewers want. There are many sitcoms and programmes that people want to seeand are made by the other channels.

I wouldnt get too excited judging by the adverts for it its just gonna be the same programmes that they are showing on ukgold with the odd new programme flung in to try and outwit the viewer. new channel my ****

Yeah i love this show. Come on gold lets see more of it. It can replace strictly come dancing. How about showing series 1 in the rerun?????

there are only so many times that you can watch a particular series. the same episodes are repeated 2 sometimes 3 days on the trot and there is no break in between. all the schedules are the same day in day out thats not entertainment thats torture

instead of ukgold wasting money on this they should spend it on getting some of the programmes that people want to see. come on gold get into reality and get this channel back to how it was and worthy of its name

yeah i still have mine and it works. some of the graphics are a bit naff compaired to now but its good to get it out from time to time. it was cutting edge technology in the late 70s early 80s

they must think we are stupid all they have done with the revamp is show the same programmes but at different times instead not just once but umpteen times. its about time they listened to the viewers and give us what we would like to see. by the way good to see men behaving badly backon gold but why so late and will you ever show series 1? how about a men behaving badly weekend?????

yeah another gr8 UK comedy confined to the archives although series 1 is avail on dvd. they used to show it on granada plus till itv pulled the plug. it would be gr8 to see it on gold its one of the few shows that doesnt get boring no matter how many times you watch it. come on uk gold how about getting this excellent show?????

yeah well said wentworth. obviously the bods @ UK gold dont read the message boards as they are still bombarding us with the same old repeats some within 40-60 mins of its first showing that day. UK gold used to be my favorite channel but lately it has gone to the dogs with endless repeats. come on uk gold give us the programmes we want to see and give us a break from repeats.

it would seem the more people complain about a particular show uk gold keep showing it. Uk gold used to be ace with programmes for everyone but all it keeps churning out are repeats of the same shows. how much longer are we going to have to watch repeats of murder she wrote, columbo, miss marple, dinnerladies, keeping up appearances and OF&H? take wednesdays for example sharp is on (again) at 9 and then repeated within the space of an hour. for gods sake get rid of some of the programmes rites for these repeated programmes and get some different programmes. Even my dog can recognise the programmes as they have been shown so much

you are spot on there skyelark. don't know why they bother having uk drama when the same old rubbish gets shown on uk gold. the schedules are getting worse with the same programmes shown umpteen times a day several times a week. you used to be spoilt for choice over what to watch but now we have coma inducing programmes such as murder she wrote and columbo on all weekend. its just as bad when they do "special" weekends ie the carry on weekend which was good however, the same programmes from the day before are included. There are millions of programmes out there come on uk gold get rid of some of the rites to other programmes that are getting endless showings and get something that every one likes. why not have a poll where people can suggest or vote for stuff that they would like to see and give us a break.

there were rumours that there was going to be a channel dedicated to australian programmes about 18 mnths ago but nothing seems to have come of it. why can't uk gold get rid of the rites to some of the rubbish that is constantly being shown and get this show back no matter what time of day its on.

Doctors was a soap but the flying doctors wasn't in my opinion. The same episodes of doctors were being shown all the time but the BBC only every showed the flying doctors series just the once back in the early 90s. Come on UK gold get rid of some of the rubbish (dad's army, Dr who, the good life, murder she wrote etc) that is being constantly repeated and obtain the rites of other shows that people want to watch

this programme wasn't really a soap it should be given more airing than the rubbish we are seeing at the moment

if you have itv3 they are showing on there mon-fri @ about 5.15 at the moment

Like u justmaz i am also a fan of the flying doctors (but not the spin off series that was total crud.com) is there any chance of seeing it again including the 3 or 4 episodes that weren't shown? i'm fed up of seeing dads army and the good life etc bring back this excellent series

yeah i feel the same. take the saturday stacks for instance the same episodes are repeated what seems like every other week and why do you only show so many from a particular show then repeat the ones shown earlier and whats with the crime sunday? these programes are seen on uk drama during the week so why are they cropping up on ukgold as well? is ukgold stuck for programs to show when the same show is broadcast 2 or 3 times a day usually within the space of a couple of hours. Is gold only allowed to show programs made by the bbc as there are millions of other great shows that deserve an airing come on gold give us subscribers value for our subscriptions
