Holby City is BACK!!! YES!!! :)
I see that Holby City is back on October 2nd broadcasting single/double episodes until 7th when the channels names change. The episodes are repeats of the last eight before it ended months ago.
I'm hoping this means we will be getting Holby City, from where it left off, on one of the new channels ... PLEASE!!!!
Sun 27 Jul 2008, 6.19PM
I think that UKTVDrama and UKTVGold are just marking time and broadcasting anything randomly until HOPEFULLY they get their act together and give some proper consideration to viewers when the new Alibi, Watch and Gold channels are created in October.
Sun 27 Jul 2008, 10.53AM
I'm hoping for a big rewind back to the early 90s when "Alibi" is launched. There again, I'm not holding my breath!
Wed 16 Jul 2008, 7.30PM
I'm wondering if "David R" is not a real person but a pseudonym used by random lowly employees who get the unwanted job of reading these posts dumped on them.
Perhaps if the job were to be given to somebody with a bit of seniority and pride in his/her job it wouldn't be carried out in such an inefficient manner.
Ouch! Somebody is on my hit list.
Tue 15 Jul 2008, 7.20PM
I'd love to see a continuation of Holby City but there doesn't seem to be a place for it in the new lineup.
Sat 12 Jul 2008, 4.17PM
UK TVGold splitting into three?
Is it correct that UK TVGold is splitting into three channels - Comedy, Crime and recent repeats, I forget the name?
If so, when will this be happening?
And, if so, is there a chance we may get to see the early episodes of The Bill? ... please
Thu 26 Jun 2008, 2.08PM
Please not the rape of Bex AGAIN!
You speak about The Bill but this thread is about Casualty! Please can we have some other era than Bex being raped repeatedly.
Tue 20 May 2008, 9.16AM
Please not the rape of Bex AGAIN!
Please tell me I've read it wrong and that you are NOT moving Casualty to 8am and are NOT rewinding to shortly before Bex getting raped AGAIN! That poor girl has been raped into the ground!
Please consider rewinding right back to the early episodes that we haven't seen for many years. THAT is what I think of as "GOLD" TV.
Mon 28 Apr 2008, 2.05PM
Casualty AND Holby City - PLEASE
I'm wondering if they have any of the later episodes. It would be nice to be told so we can either keep on hoping or forget about Holby City.
Tue 22 Apr 2008, 7.40AM
Casualty AND Holby City - PLEASE
I see you have brought back Casualty on May 6th [thank you] so PLEASE also bring back Holby City from where it stopped.
Thu 10 Apr 2008, 7.53AM
Also, it makes the channel look stupid and inefficient when there is an announcement/preview about an upcoming programme that has already been broadcast the previous day!
Thu 10 Apr 2008, 7.49AM
David - don't delete without reading and responding, it's just common courtesy!
Please don't forget that there are MANY people who would like Holby City to resume where it stopped last time [and the time before] as it would be lovely to see eopisodes I have not seen before. I only started watching the current episodes about a year ago so I have missed loads. Please again and again bring back Holby City ... thank you.
Wed 2 Apr 2008, 7.58AM
Casualty and Holby City have gone completely now! I find it hard to understand why these have been replaced by the same reality stuff shown on so many other UKTV channels. What is the point of UKTV Gold?
Fri 29 Feb 2008, 8.13AM
Where have all the threads gone?
Now they are back ... must be my Poota and it's attitude problem again!!!
Fri 15 Feb 2008, 7.25PM
On February 21st it's rewinding back to Endgame, where it resumed on January 2nd this year! I just hope in mid April when it's got back to where we are now it will keep going even if it is in the early hours of the morning. Thank goodness for recording devices!
Thu 31 Jan 2008, 11.08AM
Does Casualty Get Shown on UKTV GOLD?
February 15th is the end of Casualty at 10am. From the 18th it is on in the middle of the night so I guess it won't be long before it disappears altogether. The same with Holby City which only after a few weeks is again rewinding and moving to the middle of the night.
Tue 29 Jan 2008, 8.17AM
Why is Holby City rewinding to Endgame when it's only been back for less than 2 months?
Fri 25 Jan 2008, 11.05AM
wentworth20081 you may be correct in what you say. I've looked at February's listings and Holby City starts messing about again on February 15th, moving to from 11am to 4.40am then on February 21st returning to 11am but rewinding to "Endgame" [where they started from on January 4th this year!].
I so hope these listings are incorrect as they are crazy.

Does Casualty Get Shown on UKTV GOLD?
Does the rape of Bex sound familiar? It must be a few weeks since we saw this storyline for the umpteenth time and sure as God made little green apples this is what UKTV Gold give us [again] on January 2nd ...
Animals. Series 19, episode 27
It's Bex's first day back at work after she was raped, but a run-in with Claire sends her home early and marks the start of yet another ordeal. Tess's hopes for Mike's recovery are raised and dashed in one fell swoop, but things are looking up for Abs and Nina as they can no longer hide their feelings for each other.
Poor Bex, she must be getting a bit sore from all this raping!
Sun 16 Dec 2007, 6.50PM
when are we going to see our soaps go back to the beginging petition
Quite recently they went back to the first episode of Holby City before messing about with it. I see the New Year's listings say HC is back but for how long we will have to wait and see.
I would love The Bill to go back to early 1990s and also Casualty to go back to the early days.
Especially I would like these programmes shown in correct order, not jumping about so we don't get the full storyline before it's moved to a different one which is frustrating and confusing.
Mon 26 Nov 2007, 10.11PM
What is going on with the bill
The Bill is no longer broadcast from December 10th so there's nothing left for me to watch. I've seen the sitcoms so often I almost know them word for word and the American rubbish is just that - rubbish, except Dallas but that's ended too.
I'm beginning to think the rumour is correct that UKTV Gold is vanishing on December 31st.
Wed 21 Nov 2007, 7.10PM
OK, I'm an optimist ...
PLEASE will you bring back Holby City from Eyes Wide Open. Series 5, episode 41 where it stopped after broadcasting for just one week recently and keep broadcasting it until it catches up with the present series.
PLEASE will you broadcast Casualty from Season 4, episode 41, Chain Reaction which is where UKTV Drama stopped when they went back to the very first episode a couple of years ago.
PLEASE broadcast The Bill from early 1990s IN ORDER consecutively until it catches up with present episodes.
And finally - PLEASE reply to viewers requests and queries so we know if there is any hope of UKTV Gold returning to being the wonderful channel it used to be many years ago.
Thank you.

What is going on with the bill
Callie you think right. What I and others have a problem with is that these exact episodes were broadcast just this past summer, a few weeks ago. Why do we have to have them again so soon?
Tue 20 Nov 2007, 9.07AM
What is going on with the bill
Best of all PLEASE go back to the 1990s and show ALL the episodes IN ORDER ... PLEASE ... THANK YOU.
Fri 16 Nov 2007, 6.00PM
Is it true UKTV Gold is not broadcasting after December 31?
I heard that UKTV Gold is closing down at the end of this year is this why the programming has been so erratic over the past few months?
Thu 15 Nov 2007, 8.31AM
is there really any need to advertise dancing with the stars upto 300 a day
Easy answer to this ..... they want to make sure we know what time NOT to watch UKTV Gold!!
Wed 7 Nov 2007, 4.18PM
It's volume is normal for the commercials. The programmes are so quiet you have to turn the volume up so far you get blasted when the commercials come on. I would speculate this is another ploy to kill the channel but it's been like this for several years now!
PLEASE UKTVGold go back to being a wonderful channel and stop messing about ... please ...
Wed 7 Nov 2007, 7.57AM
Why is the Bill going back to jumping about?
And it looks like you're showing the same erratic episodes that were shown just this summer ... WHY?
Tue 6 Nov 2007, 8.07AM
Why is the Bill going back to jumping about?
PLEASE show The Bill in sequence from the 1990s. Why is this not possible? If it is possible ... why do you mess about with it? Somebody at UKTVGold is getting a thrill out of ruining the channel.
Sat 20 Oct 2007, 10.32PM
Is there any chance that UKTV Gold might resume Holby City from where they broke off? PLEASE say yes.
Fri 7 Sep 2007, 7.18PM
Why is New Tricks being advertised in many commercial breaks on UKTV Gold as "Starting on Monday at 7pm" when all the listings, including UKTV Golds own listings, say it's on at 10am and 8pm ... starting Monday?
I'm not sure UKTV Gold schedulers know what's being broadcast on their own channel!
Wed 5 Sep 2007, 3.28PM
Another moan about Holby City scheduling!
OK, I grant you that the listings on this site say New Tricks but on all the other listings sites they have changed it from New Tricks back to Holby City after one week off, missing out those five episodes. New Tricks is rescheduled to 9 PM through September then moves to UKTV Drama until November 1st.
Holby City has the 10 AM slot on UKTV Gold through to the end of September, I don't have listings for HC after that but hope it will continue.
As yet there is no sign of Casualty returning other than the current BBC1 episodes s resuming this Saturday and Sunday.
Wed 5 Sep 2007, 2.38PM
Another moan about Holby City scheduling!
Babydoll =D and Minnesota = PLEASE READ what I wrote to start this thread ..."I'm grateful that it is returning on the 17th after a week off but WHY have the 5 episodes that would have been broadcast during that week off been omitted? WHY give us 5 episodes then miss out 5 episodes then carry on?"
To repeat - Holby City is on UKTV Golg this week 3-7 September
New Tricks is on next week 10 - 14 Septembet.
Holby City returns the following week 17 September and is on each week day at 10 am throughout September.
During the week that New Tricks is on the five Holby City episodes that would have been shown then are gone.
It resumes having mised out 5 episodes. THAT IS WHAT I AM MOANING ABOUT = the missing episodes!!
Mon 3 Sep 2007, 6.31PM
Another moan about Holby City scheduling!
I'm grateful that it is returning on the 17th after a week off but WHY have the 5 episodes that would have been broadcast during that week off been omitted? WHY give us 5 episodes then miss out 5 episodes then carry on? Are UKTV Gold seriously trying to antagonise their viewers or does whoever does the schedules the series think this is funny?
Wed 29 Aug 2007, 12.51PM
I have phoned them on several occasions but they have an automatic answermachine message telling me to leave my name and phone number and they will phone back ... the never do! The person who knows about the scheduling but never phones back is John Lemon, Channel Assistant.
Wed 29 Aug 2007, 9.30AM
It wasn't a typing error! Why, WHy, WHY are we getting 5, FIVE, episodes of Holby City then it vanishes again to be replaced by a daily dose of New Tricks which has already been given to us repeatedly?
I doubt I'll get an answer as UKTV seem to enjoy ignoring viewers. But in case somebody does read this ... I am ANGRY

Tue 28 Aug 2007, 9.03AM
Looking at the UKTV Gold listings for September Holby City is only on for the first week then on September 10 it is replaced by New Tricks at 10am. WHY?
I'm hoping this is a typing error as I can see no point in taking HC off then bringing it back for just one week then taking it of again ...
Wed 22 Aug 2007, 4.45PM
Why are the episodes still jumping about when The Bill returns in September? PLEASE can we have them in order and, best of all, PLEASE can you go back to the 1990s and show them in order. Thank you.
Thu 16 Aug 2007, 5.47PM
If anybody from UKTV Gold scheduling reads this - PLEASE bring back Casualty from the very early episodes, starting where UKTV Drama left off - Series 4, Chain Reaction, Episode 41 ... pretty PLEASE!!!
Thu 16 Aug 2007, 5.44PM
From the listings The Bill is back at 9 am, Holby City at 10 am then Dallas at 11 am. There is no sign of the old episodes of Casualty returning.
This schedule is Monday to Friday starting on September 3rd. There are repeats in the small hours - Holby City is repeated at 3.05 am.
If anybody from UKTV Gold scheduling reads this - PLEASE bring back Casualty from the very early episodes, starting where UKTV Drama left off - Series 4, Chain Reaction, Episode 41 ... pretty PLEASE!!!
Sun 12 Aug 2007, 4.08PM
You don't need to reply.
I see Holby City is returning on September 3 and will be beginning with Endgame where it left off so I'm happy!
Thank you.
Thu 9 Aug 2007, 8.11PM
Will Holby City be back soon?
If yes, will it carry on from where it left off at 143, Endgame?
Please say "Yes"!
Mon 6 Aug 2007, 7.17PM
how far back do uktv go with The Bill
"Starting again in September at episode 401" was first broadcast on 3/29/2006. This is almost up to date. How far back will it rewind to when it catches up? PLEASE
take it back a long way ... early 1990s would be wonderful! PLEASE
