Am I the only person to actually be getting just a little bit fed up with repeat after repeat of The Vicar of Dibley, Fools & Horses et al and it will no doubt all be rehashed in the When were we funniest? There is only so many times you can raise a smile at them. There can't be anybody in the country who hasn't seen these programmes time and time again
There are other old programmes that are equally good that never get an airing

I totally agree, if I see Dawn French jump in that deep puddle one more time I'll go mad. Why not repeat a forgotten classic 'Hinge and Brackett'. I still make the sound(herrr) when I breathe on my glasses to clean them. (if you don't know the sound, ask your parents!!). Bring back the adventures of Stackton Tressle.

Every programme on UK TV Gold is, of course, a repeat. But my argument is that shows like "Keeping Up Appearances", one of my favourites, show about 6 episodes, then start the same 6 all over again. Surely there were many more of this series.
Same with Casualty and Holby. I enjoy watching them as I missed the series at the time they first came out. However, just as you get into it, they show something like maybe a dozen episodes, then stop for a few months. You wait eagerly to see the next lot when it restarts later in the year. Sadly, the same episodes are shown.
Why not continue where they left off and show the next batch? Or is it a finance thing?
