Well Gilly etc, you're going to be very jealous as I've met Simon - and Ryan Smile Both very funny and they really do get stuck in and do all the carrying, tidying up after a shoot etc. Nice men indeed.

But who's Geoffrey Smith? Wink

Shame on you Anna for not knowing who Geoffrey Smith is - but I suppose he must have fallen out of favour as he hasn't been on our screens for a few years now... he was a regular of Channel 4's gardeneing programmes but also used to co-present Gardeners World in the good old days... Roll Eyes

VERY JEALOUS ANNA! What a great job you have! Hope we are going to see a new series soon??? Although I would just die if I met them in Real Life. I used to have a job in centre of Birmingham which entailed meeting all sorts of people from the BBC and ITV...(sounds exciting eh? Didn't appreciate it at the time ...now I am a boring old stay at home Mum....) and I never got used to talking to people I saw on TV, just hopelessly starstruck and blushing! So God knows what would happen if they popped in to do my new patio .... I would have to have the alcohol first!!! What do they do when they are not gardening on TV? Does Simon run a nursery or something like Carol Klein and co?
So hopes of a new series ....if I see that woman on the gothic balcony say WOW once more........eeekkk! Eek

Who's Geoffrey Smith indeed......You will be saying you don't remember Bob and Cyril Fletcher....or even remember the theme music next. (I was a child viewer....) :D

Has anyone seen "Garden Rescue"? Don't like this one at all. (Discovery Home and Leisure, I think.) Awful presenter and a mite suspect.Sahll stick with tried and trusted favourites!
Isn't it good when Sime's shirt is the same colour as his painted walls? Watched a terrible one the other day, pink flamingos and multi coloured walls. Hmmm.
Still.....sprayed some clay pots gold today for my new "exotic" patio.....Very Diarmuid.
Any more poems Jill????

I have noticed that no one has posted a message on here for a year so maybe we could get talking about the lovely Simon again. Any fans still out there?

Trouble is if I met him I'd get all tongue-tied and make a complete fool of myself!!! Watched him yesterday doing a garden in Scotland and he looked so nice, even when he got covered in coal dust from the chaps coal bunker!

Hi Deborah,

Thats what I really like about him - he doesn't hide the fact that gardening can be a really messy business - especially when you garden on wet sticky clay like I do... :(

Mr T never seems to get dirty does he - which makes me wonder who actually does his gardening...

Hi Angie,
I agree with you. I would love to see things off camera with Mr T! I think with Simon, what you see is what you get. Do you think Simon and Ryan knew each other before Gardens Unplugged as they seem to have quite a good rapport? I think maybe Simon has his own gardening business and I could imagine him living in a lovely old farmhouse. I'm probably totally wrong! Speak to you soon,

Deborah.

I am not sure about Simon - he really reminds me of my friends brother-in-law who is really quite posh. So I think he is land rover, green wellie and black labrador brigade doing a job he loves but doesn't actually need the money.

I wonder if we will ever know?.

Hi Angie, You could be right. I bet we wouldnt mind being a few quid behind him! Did you know Ryan is an artist? I looked on the Mad Mac Productions website and found that out. Not much about Simon though.
I wonder if they ever look in on this site!!??

I am really quite concerned about SHK's sore arm, it has been bandaged up forever, but it never gets mentiond. Anybody know what he did to it? BTW I have met David Dickinson twice!!! He is lovely the same on screen and off!!

I have met Eric Knowls (Antiques Roadshow) a couple of times and he is lovely - dresses just the same as he does for the show...

My friend Pier's brother-in-law is the spitting image - and what is more scarey he even wears similar clothes and talks the same way... and the last time that I met him - in September, he was driving an old Landrover... spooky or what.

I dont think it is him in disguise as Chris is what is known as a "gentleman farmer". You know one who potters around telling his workers what to do... although he would hate that.

Well, I have been faithful to Alan Titchmarsh He will always be the one for me! Saw him at Chelsea last year, being whisked along by a 'minder' and my friend rushed up to ask for an autograph. the minder told us mr Titchmarsh was in a great hurry and no time, but Alan actually stopped the minder and said not to worry, that was fine and gave us both a signature and a quick chat He was absolutely charming. We were even more impressed

That was good of him. I just hope he doesn't let his fame go to his head.

I also really like the City Gardener and have just bought both of his books...

The quick answer is no - if you do a search on Simon Harrison-Knibbs - it just brings up the UKtvstyle site - so that is no help...

Style Team - help... when are we going to see more of Simon Harrison-Knibbs?. What has happened to him?.
