I bought a Rheum Palmatum several months ago and it had 2 leaves. Now as it is hibernating, the leaves have died down. How do I overwinter this plant. It is in a pot and I have put it in my shed - I have also kept the compost dry - what else do I need to do to keep it alive so that I can plant it out next year? Confused

Where abouts do you live? They should survive outside in the UK. If you are keeping it in the shed be careful it doesn't dry out.

Hi Kathy, I live in the north east - Newcastle upon Tyne - should I just keep the compost damp? - thanks for replying Smile

In spring it will need feeding to get best results. Rhubarb is hardy enough for outdoors in England.
